Decent course. Horrible vibe
The pro shop employee is also the starter who has no idea what he is doing or how to treat guests. There was five groups teeing off at the same time from #1 and took 45min just to start playing afterwards pace of play was very slow hardly got 18 holes in. Would not recommend to anyone because of the unfriendly staff and how poorly this course is operated. Needs new management/ pro shop employee or starter that know how to treat guests and operate a course...
Staff was not friendly
The "Starter" or guy behind the plexi in the Pro shop was abrupt and generally not nice. The lady in the bar was a bit blunt and crass. i watched her allow a patron to take a piece of ice from the ice bucket she was using to fill the bar bins in the morning, really turned my stomach since they are requiring masks when you enter the facility.
The only nice people were the guys handling the carts... all friendly.
Much better than I anticipated
Finally, a course staff that takes charge and puts everybody in foursomes, there was a twosome there early before us they had to wait till their tee time and get paired up, this course was almost as good as the red tiger at Trump. staff was full of please's thank you's and have a good time. And for $37. well worth it, HIGHLY recommend this course and we will be back :)
Course in great shape for a rainy day
The course played well. Some standing water but we've had inches of rain lately. Would love to play again with the sunshine
Outdated and in need of renovations
Course is old and outdated. Fairways are in decent shape though. Also not very challenging layout. Nice wildlife sighting on the course. Course is very tranquil.
Oriole
had a really good round today. Course in great shape. Greens very fair...staff very nice and friendly. Worth the buck
Very satisfied
Staff did a great job. Course in great conditions. Pace if play was perfect. Had a great day!
Oriole golf club
Played this course for the first time today. Nice simple layout, some holes trickier than others.
A local Gem and a very good value-play course
Surprisingly, I am local in the area for 40+ years and this is the first time I played the course. I am happy to say that although it's late, I have no regrets to find and play this neighborhood gem in Margate. The overall course condition is surprisingly good with large greens and relatively easy layouts. It's a very good course to practice and spend playtime with your kid, where kids play for free. I would play this again and recommend it to anyone.
Oriole Golf Course Margate, FL
Great golf course, always in very good condition.
Wonderful staff and very good food!
One of my favorite course to play.
Golf after COVID-19
Golf after COVD-19 in Broward county for the public player is all about value. I thought $38 cart and green fees was a fair price. A friend and myself were paired up with a couple and had a great day. The greens and course condition were much better than the Palm Aire oaks course which I played this week and better than Colony West which we played last week. Pace of play was great on the front nine back nine slowed to a little over 2 hours. I play a fair amount 4 to 6 times a month before this pandemic and live minutes from oriole and have not played this course in many years but I will return. Oh and by the way the lady we were paired with birdied the first two holes and was driving the ball with the three of us. She also had a birdie on the back nine.. I think with the course conditions pace of play in the price it was a day well spent on the golf course. Covid awareness was pretty good except check in is actually inside the pro shop with a glass shield between you and the pro , Carts were clean and sanitized before use. No rakes but sand buckets were in use. Even the sand scoop was sanitized and in the cart cup holder before play. Sponge pool noodle used in the cups.
This is a very good course to Play
This was my first time on the course and I have a good time. The course itself was design nice and challenging. The greens are firm and moderate fast. It is price correctly. The only negative is that after parking upon arrival I didn't see any sign or direction showing me where the proshop was or any covid rules on the course. Once I got into the pro shop, it was one way in and out and all of the other covid protection procedures being practiced.
