Callippe Preserve Golf Course

Cslioe is a very challenging and scenic course it is quite busy so the pace of play is not the fastest. It does have a great variety of challenges snd is kept in very good shape for the most part.

Most of the staff in the pro shop are friendly and the starting crew is great.

For the time of the year this course was above par in course conditions. Pretty kept and difficult challenges. I’ll come again any time...

Has dropped off just slightly from what it was a decade ago, when it was maybe my favorite course in the Bay Area, but it's still one of the best courses in the East Bay and woefully underrated. Most people don't even know this place is here but it's a gem if you can get a good deal and the weather is nice. 13 is a top 5 par-3 in the East Bay.

Got in about 13 holes today before it was too dark to play. Beautiful day before the forecasted storm tomorrow brings some much needed rain. Staff were friendly and helpful, they got us a cart just in time for our tee time. Good job off cleaning returned carts and getting them ready to go out again. Fairways were in OK shape, this late in the year it's tough to keep them in prime shape. Greens were in great shape.

Fantastic, challenging and not too physically abusive on us seniors. Lost a little glitter from covid 19 but 2 thumbs up for sure.

No carts available at purchased tee-time. Waited 40 minutes to tee off with several other groups waiting as well. Some of the fairways looked like a cat’s litter box. Starter was rude to say the least. He blamed the wait on COVID. Hey, Callippe If you think there will be a shortage in carts because of COVID rules, buy more carts. If you can’t get more carts, limit the number of tee-times per day.. Could not finish 18 holes because of their lack managing this situation.

Bottom line...don’t go here unless you like being treated like crap.

Why the delay? We didn’t finish 18 because of slow play and delayed T Off.

Have played when courses is much better condition. But pace of play was beyond bad...5.5 hours on a Monday non twilight time. No marshall until 18...did nothing except drove down 10 and back on 18.

great course. worth every penny. many more public courses should study how they do things at Callippe. greens were a bit bumpy but thats just due to slightly over watering them and assh-oles not fixing their divots. would gladly play here again. very well worth the cost.

The starter should have stayEd home the day we played, didn’t care for the attitude and did not make you feel like you would want to come back again.

Callippe is a wonderful course! It's a bit pricier than neighboring courses, but the pricing is on par with the course conditions and the clientele. Rarely will you ever see a "Bro-dude" on the course yelling after every shot, bumping music, and playing scavenger hunt with other players golf balls. Only issue is when twilight players jump on the 10th hole as their opening hole as it can slow the back 9 to a stand still.
