Callippe Preserve Golf Course

I understand the we are in a drought but this course was in really bad shape. The greens were slow and inconsistent. The starter swore to is on the first tee that it would be a 4.5 hour round, he was way off as it took us almost 6 hours.

We had a very good time even though the coarse had a couple of holes under repair this was ok as we still love this place the greens were in good shape and fun the fairways were dried out due to lack of water this just told us they cared abut the Drought. again fun time I need to earn to play faster on this coarse.

Callippe has to be one of the most beautiful courses in the Bay Area a must play worth the drive from South Bay. Greens in good shape

I realized, as one who hits a 200-220 yard drive with a driver, that it is better to leave the driver in the bag. I would have shaved 8 strokes if I had used no more than my three wood (fairway wood). Stay out of the traps and ravines! Where you put your ball for the next shot (or where you miss) is critical for a good score.
Course was in very good shape for extreme drought conditions.

I had my son play with my father during the weekdays (Monday) and it got little hotter that they were exhausted by playing through mid-day. Son played exceptionally well.

Course were excellent,,,due to weather they said 17 & 18 were brutal to finish with good note.
Overall satisfied playing....

Beautiful views, challenging course, friendly staff, and considering the water shortage the course was still in great shape!

This course will be much better once they finish the two temporary greens on 11 & 14.

Great track & vary challenging. I'd definitely do it again! The Course is in good condition, & when the 2 new greens are finished #11 & #14, it'll even be better! Can't wait!

This hole is just too hard. Long, into the wind, hazards on both sides, elevation changes, it's ridiculous. It is the reason I don't play here much.

11 & 14 were under repair and green fee should reflect conditions. On board gps was irritating in that adds predominated the messaging not the course holes. Focus on the golf or get rid of the constant advertising.

The golf was fantastic, never saw the beer cart though. I'd play it again but BYOB.

If you can read the greens, you will enjoy your round. The greens are deceptive and very challenging. The course is well maintained, facilities are clean. Challenging greens add four to six strokes to your game.

The only reason for the four stars on course condition is because two greens were under repair. We did receive $5 certificate for the inconvenience.

The course keeps you on your toes, no matter how often you play. Even though there were two temporary greens (for which we were given a coupon), it was still possible to birdie. The staff are always great and the Starter, as always, was warm and welcoming. Not a course to pass up!

Felt like the service from the restaurant and bar was not that great. The staff was pretty slow, when we were making the turn and weren't ready with the order (even though we pre-ordered from the cart through GPS). When I booked the tee time, I also wasn't told that they were re-remodeling two of the greens. This may have played a part in us selecting to drive here from the south bay. And, on top of that, the pace was pretty slow. The group in front of us was taking up to 20 minutes to play one hole. The marshall didn't do much to help speed them up. In fact, his response was that there were three groups backed-up on hole 10 (a few holes ahead of us at the time when we raised the issue). Our thought was that maybe the other groups needed to speed up as well. There wasn't a lot of stress on speed at this course.....either with pace of play or with the speed of service at the restaurant.

The course for a public venue is well layed out. The greens on the front nine were spotty and need to be worked on with many dry brown dirt areas, I have played here before and the water drought is hurting many public courses. All in All I will play here again.

Get course - problem was booking with you guys - booked night before and only one tee time for single - 10:30 - required $27 deposit on a $54 rate WITH CART. I was planning on walking which was only $32. But because you collected $27 ahead of time, the course could not give me the $32 rate. Can you give me a $22 credit?

Overall a very nice course, but the greens were HORRIBLE. There were large areas of bare dirt and so many areas of small dead and lumpy spots that that the ball rarely rolled true. They have no business charging $80 per round while the most crucial aspects of the course are in such poor shape. Until the greens are vastly improved, this course is no better than your average San Joaquin Valley muni course, and the green fees should be adjusted accordingly.
