Callippe Preserve Golf Course

I’ve played here before, generally a good day. But on this day we booked a mid morning reservation and was not informed that there was a league going on. We were into the first hole and by the time we realized on the second hole, we were waiting for 15 minutes. It was apparent it was going to be a slow playing day. We had to wait for two groups worth at each hole through the front nine, which took us three hours. We went to the pro shop and the manager was less than friendly and accommodating. His attitude was, well you should have known. I asked for any reimbursement or free round or money back for the back nine, got a complete no with no hesitation. Quite disappoint to say the least.

Great course in the area. Tee box, fairway and green are all in great condition. It is not a easy course, you will need all clubs in the bag.. View is nice too.

great staff and great course with nice layout closing holes are difficult and will test you for sure 16,17,18.

Friendly staff. Good range. Unique design. Fun to play.

Greens are still recovering from

Spring aeration I’d say they are about 10 days out from being fully recovered. Right now they are rolling slow and a bit bumpy. Speaking of slow the pace of play is always on the slow side. Most rounds are in the 5-5+ hour range. This includes mid week rounds.

The rest of the course is in nice shape. It’s a fun and challenging layout.

I have not played Callippe under 5 hours in the 4 times I have gone. I normally play on a monday or a weekday and pace of play is just terrible. Great layout, great course but pace is absurd. Played Monday 4/29/24 and the round took 6 hours.

This is a good course but just be ready for a 5 hr round. On the weekends could get to 5 1/2 hrs or more.

This course is great a little challenging but a must play. They had just aerated the greens the week before really bad condition obviously once that’s done the course will be very nice. Week day rounds for only $49 great value views of multi million dollar houses and the hills. Pace of play was a bit slow after the turn, but that seems like about everywhere these days.

This layout is tough yet fun to play. Set on a hillside, there’s plenty of elevation changes throughout the entire course. Course runs north/south with the slope so there’s no real awkward stance and remaining in the fairway if you hit it is almost guaranteed. With that said if you miss your shot to the side it’s pretty much gone.

Greens are a great balance between challenging yet very playable. They roll smooth at a perfect medium fast pace. What isn’t fast is the pace of play. 5 hours for a late afternoon mid week round

Other than that it’s a great course with great service
