About
Colonial Heritage Golf Club offers the only Arthur Hills-designed layout in Williamsburg, and it is also the city's only gated golf community. Golfers looking for a place where they can just 'grip it and rip it' will be out of luck on this course, which requires skill and strategy. It is a thought-provoking design where golfers will want to weigh all of the risk and reward options first. The layout plays through deep ravines that provide interesting changes in elevation. The golf course also features undulating fairways and large, fast greens that are bordered by strategically placed bunkers as well as water hazards that come into play on several holes. Colonial Heritage G.C. definitely provides a good challenge, even for a seasoned player, but beginners shouldn't feel too intimidated. The golf course offers some room for error and the risk-reward opportunities appeal to low and high handicappers alike.

Great 18. A real challenge for Zoe blled
Great challenges on this course. Not fun for the directionally challenged as on many holes off line is dead. Still keeps me coming back to see if I can finish the hardest holes with out losing a ball. Great fun exemplary staff. Good pro shop too.

Mediocre at best
Course is beautiful, well kept and the greens are in reasonable shape (ball marks) Unfortunately that’s the only good things. The pace of play is horrendous almost 3 hours for 9 holes, all the staff I encountered were not at all friendly. All amenities closed on the turn and no beverage cart. Would not recommend.

Great tough course
Has a set of tees for everyone! Can be a tough track the further back you go! Smaller greens, some sand traps are a lil ehh but not terrible unless played after a rain. Fun layout with some tough holes!
Course was in excellent condition.
The greens were in great shape and fairways were lush. I would play here again.

Absolutely gorgeous !
First time at this course and it was so much fun. I lucked out and got paired with gentleman who knew the course well. It's In impeccable shape. Great layout and a buffet of tees and combo tees to choose from ....a yardage for all. This is a wonderful community and a beautiful course. Go. Play!

Great Course Needs Marshall
Played here for the first time. Tee time was 3:40, I went out about 3:30 I was only able to play 17 holes because of the slow pace of play. More beer drinkers than golfers were in front of me. The pace made my experience at the course less than memorable. I don’t plan on returning unless I’m in the first group out in the morning. If your looking for a course to play after 3pm I’d skip this one unless you want to play 9 in 3hrs.

Our only reason not to give it 5 stars was the absence of restrooms on the course.

Love this course
Always fun but can be a very long round. Marshals no where to be found. Course in great condition. Greens were rolling very fast and true
