Foxtail Golf Club - North Course
About
Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park offers two championship courses, the North and the South, situated in the heart of wine country. The North Course originally opened in 1974 but underwent a major renovation that completely redesigned the layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The par-72 North is considerably longer and more difficult than the par-71 South. The North features multiple doglegs and strategically placed sand traps that will test even the most experienced players. To make the golf course a bit more approachable, water hazards don't play a prominent role, though they do appear on a few holes, and the forward tees are very player friendly. With 36 holes available, Foxtail G.C. is able to host tournaments and events while still having another 18 holes open to the public.

Would play here anytime. Windy on south course last few holes, but fun challenge.
Greens are Exceptional
Great Greens Experiace and layout is tuff. Pace of play was way over booked. Round almost 5 hrs from the whites, waited to take every shot.
Foxtail North!
Course was manicured BEAUTIFULLY, but pace of play SUCKED! However, what would you expect with the first day of sun in weeks! Definitely a great close course to play!
Great place
Updated bunkers and beautiful fairways. First hole can be a challenge. If you can clear left side bunker you will get great roll and shot at getting on in two. Love the Northside. Thanks Foxtail!
Almost had whole place to myself
Teed off around noon Christmas day. No one ahead or behind me 'til 11th fairway (2 hackers playing from tips). To resolve I skipped 2 holes and came back later to complete card. Course condition overall good. No bunker sand but greens excellent. Clubhouse closed at 2pm; had to get cart back by 3pm. Not a problem; finished by 230.
Great shape in December
I’ve always been a foxtail fan. Only drawback is pace of play. Seems like it’s always just a little slow and you end up waiting for pretty much every shot. Course is in awesome shape for December. Couldn’t believe how dry it was and the greens were rolling good and fast. The layout is good and will definitely challenge you if you play from the black tees. Course is a beast from the tips. I would always recommend this course to anyone. When it does rain it does drain well also.
Slow Play
The course was pretty nice, but it took 5 hours to complete the round which is unacceptable to me.
Renovated Greenside Bunkers
Course was in great shape. The fairway bunkers still need work, but the greenside bunkers are great!

Golfed there several times. Each time the course was overbooked. Long wait time between holes. Uninteresting, the greens were in good shape. Nice bar, with local drafts. The practice driving range, putting and chipping greens are very nice.
