River Oaks Golf Club

River Oaks is always in great to excellent condition, always a great place to play and the staff members are always friendly and accommodating!!!

River Oaks is a good course for less than single handicappers. Not many trees or bunkers and fairly wide fairways makes it a fun track. Can play it in 3 to 3 and a half hours.

This course has taken a lot of time to be where it is now. Nice fairways & plush greens. Bunkers are playable. A number of water hazards. Staff are pleasant. Greens staff work hard on this place. Look forward to my return. It can play long too which I like that challenge it provides.

This course has only become better over the years since it opened. The course conditions are excellent and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Course conditions were awesome. The only downfall was the twosome in front of us was playing slower that the 5 some in front of them.

I remember awhile back when this course was trash but my hat off for the staff here. The course is in great shape overall. Bunkers still need some work.

I'm impressed with the maintenance and care of this course.

The layout can be a little challenging but you need to choose the right targets to aim at. I noticed how nice the sand was in the bunkers - grainy with no loose impediments. And the greens were very smooth and even.

Pace of play was 6 hours. I played the front and left after 9. I understand slow play is common but on weekends someone needs to Marshall and make sure rounds aren’t 6 hours. The fairways often have long grass patches in them and I was hitting out of rough length grass in most fairways. The greens were surprisingly rolling nicely. The greens are the only decent thing about this course.

Greens in great shape. 3.5 hrs round. Tee boxes a little beat up, pretty common everywhere it seems now days. Always friendly staff.

This was a great course for the money! Love how secluded and nice the property was. I’m from the east coast so this was my first time playing in CA and this was just a pleasant round of golf. The layout was great but wasn’t too challenging and the greens were impeccable.
