Cooling breezes
What's not to love? A very tight layout in great shape with a cooling ocean breeze. My only complaint was the pace of play was a bit over four hours, but other than that - fantastic.
A MUST PLAY!!
First time Normandy this year and course was in very good condition just as I remember it last winter. Excellent facilities, couldn't help but notice the attention to detail to everything around the clubhouse. The greens are still very firm and quick, but enjoyably stressful. All the people are extremely friendly, courteous and helpful from the starter Roger to the bag attendants and everyone else we had contact with. Also the Great weather helped, it made for perfect conditions.. My wife and I were paired with wonderful couple making for a all around fun day. Cant wait till next winter to come back!
Great Course not the Staff
Before I get into much detail I want to say the course is amazing and I try to play here as much as possible.
I was able to get out on the course by 4o'clock on Sunday and was thrilled to be there. From the second you pull up it is great. Attendants by the carts always have a smile and are always willing to help. Unfortunately weather started to roll in towards 5:30 and i heard a loud horn go off so I figured I would go back to the club house to see if I could continue to play or call it quits for the day. Upon walking in I was greeted by a younger guy behind a computer. I asked if the horn meant we had to stop play. He stated the course had no horns for weather. And that if I was struck by lightning I should let him know. Not sure if he was joking but he said it with some sort of attitude that I was not thrilled to hear.
Golf is not cheap and especially at this course so to have a person that is suppose to be hospitable giving attitude is not what I go there for. Don't think I will be coming back for a while.
Great Experience
Wow!
Wow!
Went Golfing at Normandy Country Club Yesterday and had the best golfing Experience.
Thanks Normandy.
Miami Beach hidden gem
Friendly staff, a well maintained golf course and driving range made for an enjoyable round. Undulating and raised green were in great shape.
Great undulating fast greens.
Good test of golf. Very good green complexes. Well maintained. Pace of play is excellent.
Normandy
The layout does not pose high degree of difficulty. The course "defends" itself around the greens. Lies are tight, greens have slopes. There are run-off areas around the greens that require you to have imagination. Every time I have played the greens have been fast and in good condition.
Go play
Course is in great shape the fairways were beautiful.
Good for High Handicappers
Great location, well kept greens, fairways need a little more maintenance; in general the course demands little, except for a couple of challenging holes; great for high handicappers like myself; anyone with HCP index below 15, will find it boring.
Go somewhere else
Total disappointment. Recommended by my hotel....if they only knew. Old and tired. Not very challenging and it seemed like Groundhog day...every hole seemed to be the same. The club rentals were horrible, old and in poor condition not worth the $ 60 they charged, way over priced for what they had to offer. The conditions on the golf course were mediocre at best except for the greens which were in good shape(probably due to low play) and recent rains. A total tourist trap. Look elsewhere.
Expected a lot more
Poor layout, sometimes it felt like one hole where placed on top on the other but I guess that's what you get when you place 18 holes on an area more likely to hold 9 GOOD golfholes. Condition on golfcourse also have a lot more to wish for. Greens so bad, no grass, only sand and dirt. If you are a good golfer you going to lose strokes here. Fairways also lacks grass, sometimes it feels like hitting from dirt, soggy dirt. Finally in my opinion, EXTREMLY overpriced. There are so many better courses for even half the money, play them!
don't go there, rip off
for me a rip off, don't go there! overpriced! course design is ok, maintanance of fairway medium, greens slow, less grass. play miami shores instead only 35 bucks better greens!
Couldn't disagree more, also if you are gonna be that offended by receiving an answer like that, well then maybe you shouldn't play golf anywhere.. Grow a pair!
