About
Mount Dora Golf Club is a historic, member-owned golf club open to the public, located about 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. The course began to form in 1945, shortly after World War II when returning G.I.'s petitioned the city for land to build a golf course.
A second nine was added in 1959 and the clubhouse was build in the 1960s. Set on just 85 acres, the course bills itself as "The longest 5,700 yards in Florida" thanks to an abundance of water and up and downhill lies that will demand precision over power.

Great
Impressed with the fact that they are really trying to improve this course. The greens and Fairways were a nice shape and it showed that they were doing all they could to improve it.
A future (repeat) destination
Played our first round ever at this location ( snowbirds from PA).
Everything was as hoped for, some challenge, great conditions and a very amiable staff.

The course is always in great shape. The Staff is personable and friendly. We always have a great time here.
Great time
I play this course somewhat frequently and really like it. Whole course is in excellent shape. Teeboxes, fairways, greens all looking great. There may have been a bit of a booking issue because it was very, very backed up. But it was also a very nice day out so it being as busy as it was wasn't a huge surprise either. Highly recommend.
Greens were very good
Would highly recommend that anyone wanting to enjoy a good round of golf. Staff friendly and helpful
Great pace, relaxing course
I find this course relaxing and technical at times. Really nice elevation changes, Every green was in excellent shape. Most of the tee boxes were in good shape. Pace of play was outstanding. Not only would I recommend this course to a friend, I brought friends out with me. I’ve been here twice, and have been impressed both times.

I hadn't played in ten years and found the staff and course inviting for the beginning of my second run at this great game.
Great layout
Great layout. Fairways, as always are rough. Greens were extremely slow but consistently so. They were a little furry. Maybe just sanded. I like the course and will play again.
Pleasant
Forgivable course. Greens in descent shape, slower roll, fairly manicured. The calmness of the course is what is most desirable. I must recognize Rex, from the pro shop, whose flexibility with scheduling allowed for a great time. His welcoming attitude made for a good experience!
Course
The tees and greens are in great shape! Pace of play ok, you will run into alot of no cart players. But that is part of it. Always love playing this course. Always has that challenge to it!!
Great way to breeze through 18!
Now that “ the season” is winding down - my friend and I were able to finish in a tad under 3 hours - and that’s behind two slow guys on the back! The course is actually in pretty good shape and the finish in the pub was terrific. A great day at MDGC.
