About
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes is a Tom Fazio design that is challenging, but with five sets of tees it is versatile enough for players of all skill levels. Fazio deftly utilized the native wetlands and numerous lakes that are interspersed across the landscape, incorporating them along the expansive fairways and angled greens. The tricky greens have been carefully molded and contoured to offer a variety of pin placements. In addition to the water hazards, there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The golf course will test your shot-making skills as well as your creativity. To complement the golf course, Hilton Head Lakes offers an equally impressive 36-acre, double-ended practice facility with target greens, bunkers, multiple practice greens, and even a par-3 short course.

Might be the best course around
The most only problem was pace, it was cart path only. So I think on a regular day the course would have a better pace.
Nice people but bad course
Course is in horrible condition. If it gets any worse it will be a goat track. Needs a multi-million dollar TLC renovation. Sorry I didn't take photos to share.
The staff is friendly so I don't fault them at all.

Great day to be alive! Playing golf! ⛳
First time playing this course. Clubhouse staff was awesome! Marshal was a trip! Course was in good shape, not excellent. Weather has been kind of crazy around here lately, so it's understandable. Greens were very bumpy, had 31 putts on the round, could've shaved a few. Lot's of wet areas(due to recent weather)
Very enjoyable round, father and son we were paired with made it even more enjoyable. Will definitely be back!
Poa Ana infiltrated Greens
Greens have tons of poa ana on them making puts bounce and veir left and right randomly. It is also thick around the greens which makes chipping an adventure. The course should reduce their fees until they get this under control which won't likely happen till it dies off in the summer.
Rough greens
Beautiful course, fun layout but, I got duped by a previous review that said the course is in great condition. I golfed with a bunch of regulars and they all complained about how bad the greens have gotten. Very bumpy and overrun with poana. It was unfortunate but, the greens are definitely not in great condition. The course was great besides that but, it’s just as bad as playing on punched greens
Will Play Again
Our round was just after the big snowstorm and it was CPO, understandably so. There were many wet spots in the fairway but the greens were in amazingly great shape.
If you like wide fairways this the place to play. Never seen fairways this wide. Inside & outside people were very friendly and informative about the course.
A lot of water but quite playable.
Played shortly after some very heavy rain but the course was still playable. Some wet spots but for the most part just like normal. Greens were excellent.
Excellent Course
Really nice layout and the staff is very welcoming. Despite very wet conditions the course was very playable. Greens are fantastic.
Welcome back Hilton Head Lakes
After last year, the greens are in very good shape with not major disease problems. The aprons arond the greens need some improvemnets but overall teh course is in good condiiton
Course was in better condition compared to others of similar price.
Hilton Head Lakes golf ..Great
I have not played this course in over 2 years because the greens and Bunkers were the worst anywhere. And the club house was a disgusting Double wide. This time was So different The greens were fantastic, Fairways Great Bunkers Great I especially love the back 9 I find it more interesting pluse no homes in view, The staff and the 2 Pros were Great.
