About
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes is a Tom Fazio design that is challenging, but with five sets of tees it is versatile enough for players of all skill levels. Fazio deftly utilized the native wetlands and numerous lakes that are interspersed across the landscape, incorporating them along the expansive fairways and angled greens. The tricky greens have been carefully molded and contoured to offer a variety of pin placements. In addition to the water hazards, there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The golf course will test your shot-making skills as well as your creativity. To complement the golf course, Hilton Head Lakes offers an equally impressive 36-acre, double-ended practice facility with target greens, bunkers, multiple practice greens, and even a par-3 short course.

Great find
Off island. First time playing it. Loved the staff and pace of play was great.
Gorgeous course.
Great staff. Excellent condition. Best greens I’ve played on in long time.
Best shape I have seen this course
I love the layout. Lots of wide open fairways. Greens were in good shape. Fairways pretty good. Only criticism would be some bunkers that Sara’s standing water five days after the most recent rain. I will be back.
Great staff
Course was in good shape although some greens were sandy. But still had a great day. Staff is very friendly and accommodating . Would definitely play there again. They have a restaurant but was not opened until 4 PM. Had to get beverages in pro shop. You were able to get a hot dog chips etc... if you wanted. Was at least able to sit in bar/restaurant area. All in all a very nice experience.
Greatly Improved
My compliments to the grounds crew for the transformation of the greens. They look great and no sign of poana. They roll true and smooth. Even the sand traps are better from a month ago.
Please keep up the great job and ensure the course stays in good shape.
If you haven’t played HH Lakes in a year, you owe it to yourself to try it again.
Quite Wet
Too bad that the course had gotten so much rain the previous evening. Lots of free-water. Greens were a bit shaggy. Would have been much better if the the maintenance crew was able to provide attention
Greens are back
I played this course a year ago and the greens were unplayable. The poana had taken over them there was no grass. Fortunately this year the greens are back to normal and in good shape.
Pasture!
Mowed down pasture! Tee boxes are bare.. greens slow and full of poa..flyer lies in fairways…dusting of sand in bunkers…play them as waste areas..what a mess!
Fantastic course
Absolutely gorgeous! Greens were well taken care of and you could see the difference between the fairway and the greens. They followed properly at about a medium speed as well. Wild life was stunning and the scenes are amazing
Getting Better
The course is in good shape compared to last year. If they keep up the TLC this season, next year will be better. First time seeing a drink cart as well which is a clear sign of customer focus.
The next area needing work is the sand traps. They were groomed but a dusting of sand over hard pack. I was in several traps and my club bounced out and did not let me get under the ball. Better to play as a normal chip than a sand shot.
Worth a play and I’ll be back later in summer to see if they continued to nurture the course.
Good course for the money
Enjoyed our round. The back nine was slow with 2 groups ahead of us.
