About
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes is a Tom Fazio design that is challenging, but with five sets of tees it is versatile enough for players of all skill levels. Fazio deftly utilized the native wetlands and numerous lakes that are interspersed across the landscape, incorporating them along the expansive fairways and angled greens. The tricky greens have been carefully molded and contoured to offer a variety of pin placements. In addition to the water hazards, there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The golf course will test your shot-making skills as well as your creativity. To complement the golf course, Hilton Head Lakes offers an equally impressive 36-acre, double-ended practice facility with target greens, bunkers, multiple practice greens, and even a par-3 short course.

Good Experience
The course layout was challenging but playable. Traps are designed to create challenging situations and it created opportunities for me to grow my abilities. Love the forested back nine away from the homes. It makes you feel some solitude in the bustling Hilton Head Resort Area.
Slow Greens
Staff was really nice.
Talked with the man in in the pro shop said a year ago., it was terrible. "They got a new Superintendent turning it around."
Hilton Head Lakes is a very nice layout, friendly staff and facilities.
They have to get the crabgrass under control and although the conditions of the greens were very nice, they were the slowest greens I have ever played, had to be running 7 max stemp, which made for a frustrating day..
Nice track for the locals. But doubtful I drive 1.5 hrs. To play it again.
Nice course
First time playing here. Everyone here was super friendly and helpful. Course was in good condition for this time of year. It was a hot afternoon round and pace of play was great! We'll look forward to returning in the future.
No Drinking water in sight
The course itself is nice, greens rolling well. Fairways are full. Bunkers have sand. My only concern is with a heat index of 105 there is zero water on the course to drink, not at any hole, rest stations, or even the club house unless you consider a water fountain to be substantial.
Also as I arrive at 7:00 for my tee time of 7:30, the pro shop employee keeps allowing other people to cut in front of me to have them check in because “there tee time is before mine”, even though they came into the pro shop after I did. leaving me about 10 minutes to hit the range.
Great Day on the Course
Overall great experience. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly!

Had an enjoyable day and everyone was very friendly. Everyone we came into contact with was helpful and wanted us to have a good time .
Great valued course
My wife and I have played this a couple of times and we think it is a great value and nice conditions. The greens are slow but in excellent condition and true. You just have to get use to the pace like any greens. We always play in the afternoon when it is not crowded and we felt like we owned the course with no one around us. The course has forgiving fairways but commands Precision on second shots. It never disappoints and is a very repeatable and enjoying round of golf for the money as well. Enjoy it!

Great Course
Great course for golfers that are used to open fairways. Pace of play was a little slow even with the course not being that busy due to the group ahead of our group. Overall, a great course that is spread-out and fun to play.
