About
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes is a Tom Fazio design that is challenging, but with five sets of tees it is versatile enough for players of all skill levels. Fazio deftly utilized the native wetlands and numerous lakes that are interspersed across the landscape, incorporating them along the expansive fairways and angled greens. The tricky greens have been carefully molded and contoured to offer a variety of pin placements. In addition to the water hazards, there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The golf course will test your shot-making skills as well as your creativity. To complement the golf course, Hilton Head Lakes offers an equally impressive 36-acre, double-ended practice facility with target greens, bunkers, multiple practice greens, and even a par-3 short course.

Surpisingly Challenging
Great course with the front and back two very separate experiences. The front intertwines with the home community and the back is in a nature preserve which is beautiful and amazingly quiet.
You can spray your driver and not be OB on most holes, but the real challenges lay inthe green structures and surrounds.
A must-play if you want to be off-island!
Round at course with friend fro WV
Course was in excellent condition.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Played with a friend from WV and he thought the course was in excellent condition and enjoyed the round. I would never think twice about wether to play there again.
Hilton Head Lakes
First time playing Hilton Head Lakes. Great course lay out, the course in in excellent shape. Greens are very slow compared to North East. So many great, challenging holes. Most holes are secluded with thick woods in between the holes. Lot's of nature, between the aquatic birds, gators, turkey and hawks. With about a 20 mile wind, this course plays long from the whites. No run on most tee shots. Over all a good layout, in great condition at a far price.
Forgiving layout, excellent greens
This course has a very nice layout and is a joy to play. The fairways are quite large and the rough is reasonable (not cut too high). For public courses off island, the greens are in the best condition of the courses I have played so far. The greens are not fast, but roll very evenly and consistently. No trace of the Poa annua weed problem reported in reviews last year.
The sand traps are inconsistent (some have sufficient sand and/or adequate drainage while others lack both and remain hard/wet after heavy rains).
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This course is one of my favorite places to play.
Green much Better
The greens are in very good shape. Nice and lush.
The course is in need of a ranger We were the 4th group to go out and waited on every tee box for 5 minutes. Not good to play that slow early in the day.
