About
The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes is a Tom Fazio design that is challenging, but with five sets of tees it is versatile enough for players of all skill levels. Fazio deftly utilized the native wetlands and numerous lakes that are interspersed across the landscape, incorporating them along the expansive fairways and angled greens. The tricky greens have been carefully molded and contoured to offer a variety of pin placements. In addition to the water hazards, there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The golf course will test your shot-making skills as well as your creativity. To complement the golf course, Hilton Head Lakes offers an equally impressive 36-acre, double-ended practice facility with target greens, bunkers, multiple practice greens, and even a par-3 short course.

Great Course
Very wide fairways. Cart path only made for long day. Plan on playing it again but hope to take carts on the fareway. otherwise a great course.
Great layout
Play this course 3 times on this trip and I have to say the course was in excellent condition. They did excellent job on the greens compared to last year they roll true and were in great condition as well as the tee boxes and sand traps. The pace of play was very good we played in 31/2 hours. The staff was extremely nice and friendly overall an excellent value for the money. I recommend you give this a try. Thank you for a great time.
Winter Condition
Wide open fairways, still in winter condition, warm great weather, will improve when spring comes and grass starts growing.

Have played since opening, but skipped last year after major green issues. Still a lot of poa in greens, but better control and better management overall leads to a decent round. Fairways greening up nicely and greens much more playable.
Good value for the money.
Sloooooow!
Even with cary path only, it should not take over 5 hours! No Marshall on the course or at the turn. As I have played here before without this issue I will give it a pass this time. Course conditions are good and its an enjoyable layout. Just painful to be out there that long.
Enjoy the round
I enjoyed the course and while there were some areas that needed improvement I found the golf course to be challenging. The greens were very fast but consistent. Definitely would play it again!
Great
This course was one of our favorites on our Hilton Head trip. Great value!!! Very friendly staff! Play it if you get the chance.
Long course
Everything was very good jts just a pity we had so much Rain for 24 before we played but course held up very good Very friendly staff
Hidden gem. Well worth a visit
I've vacationed in HH several times, but somehow I've never found this course before....but it's a beauty.
Not being on the expensive real estate of HHI itself means that there's plenty of space, esp. on the back 9.
Some relatively long par 4's that were a challenge to reach in 2. Fairways were in good condition, and the greens were hard, fast and true.
The tee boxes need some TLC, there were several that were just dirt/sand.
Disappointed that the bar/restaurant closed at 4pm-ish, so we couldn't enjoy a beer on the terrace overlooking the 18th green when we finished our round.
But overall, a nice layout. good value for money, very friendly staff. It's a nice course...we'll be back for sure
Hidden gem
What a nice find, great layout and most of the holes are off in the woods and swamp.
You feel like you're the only one playing.
Definitely come back.
Pleasantly Surprised
After hearing some discouraging comments on course conditions from some locals I considered cancelling. Very glad that I did not! Conditions were quite good and we had a very enjoyable day.
Play it!
Played here twice last week, highly recommend the course. Great staff and for the midfle of Feb. the course is in great condition. The greens were beautiful, absolutely no poa that they have had the last couple of years. This is the only course that I play multiple times during our 8 weeks out here. Definitely my favorite course.
