About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Course was in great condition
Pace of play was good. Course was looking real good for this time of year. Bunker sand was great.
Don’t waste your money
For the price of this course I expected way more. One of the more expensive courses in the Sac area and so far the worst course I played and I’ve played several. I did play in winter, but we haven’t had that much rain and the condition of the course was sub par. The greens also had several pot marks throughout. Basically the grass on this course is not there. It is cut real short trying to make it look good they need to let it grow a little. It’s so short it’s dead or dormant and yellow. Most shots are like hitting off hard pan. The layout of this course is also sub par as it is totally flat and has very little water and challenges for a good golfer. Overall the layout is boring. Also being so close to the river I would think you would try to incorporate into the design a little bit the only time you see it is driving in or out of the course. Don’t play this course, there are way better courses in the Sacramento region for half the price.
High Walking Rates
I hope the new owner of this course realizes that the current money shower this and other courses are experiencing right now during this pandemic won't last forever. Lots of those guys who were "steady income" for your course before it all began may not want to return if you continue to charge $49.00 walking rates late in the day, on top of many other raised rates and removed services.
Teal Bend GC
The course had leafs on almost every greens. Very frustrating to putt. Lost 6 golfballs from around the greens due to piles of leafs. No fun at all!
Slow
People need to know it’s okay to loose a golf ball. Your continuous looking after almost every shot screws it ip for everyone behind you.
Please be considerate it’s not nice having us bunch up on tee ,via COVID, and you trying to find your lost /OB ball. 5 hours was nuts
Excellent day of golf
The course was in very good shape and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Golf Now
Payed Golf now however the course did not know this.
Need the marshal to speed up play
New sand
Played under 63 degree weather and a sunny day. Course was in good shape with new sand in most of the bunkers. They had rakes on almost all the holes but seems most players are still playing COVID rules and not raking. Tee boxes were fine, greens were really good. Fairways have some dormant spots as usual. All in all good conditions for winter.
All around great conditions.
The bunkers were in great shape, the greens played true and fast and the course was in great shape.
nice track
Definitely worth playing, rate seems a bit high but still a good play, good character, good challenge, nice bunkers, nice greens.
Cold Weather was the Only Issue
Played Teal Bend on one of the first cold days of the season,. When I checked in, they sent us right out to the first tee, so I had no time to warm up. After a couple of holes, I noticed I was losing about 5-10 yards on my shot because of the cold air.....and lack of warmup. In any case, the course was in good shape, and greens were smooth but a bit slow. Club house and beverage cart had coffee and Baileys to help keep us warm through round.
