About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Today’s course was not worth $70. The greens were punched and were terrible and slow the staff did not tell us or give any notification that they have been punched. When I worked at Yocha Dehe Golf Course, we always notified or let the golfers know that the greens were airfied. And I know for a fact we reduced the price.
One if my favs
got early before the heat. The only thing is to watch out for the mosquitoes! Big spray a must. Otherwise, fun round as usual.
Challenging course
This course is mostly surrounded by woods and nature. Always fun.
Outstanding
Outstanding course, nice layout generous fairways mostly raised greens well kept greens.no complaints. Go try it.
Way to Spend a Summer Afternoon
Course was in great shape. Greens were true. Pace was perfect. Putting could have been better.
Unprofessional Staff, unkempt back 9, not worth the money for morning mid day tee
I changed my plans from going to Auburn to celebrate my 30th today, to golfing at Teal Bend because of how many 5 star reviews I saw. Booked the 8:20am and arrived at 8:14am to pay for my tee. The gentleman behind the counter told me that I was late and the 8:20 group was already on the tee. I asked if we could play, and he paused but eventually asked us how we were going to pay. Paid the $51 and was on the tee by 8:19am. Practice swing was at 8:20am. Normally, I don't care about someone having a bad day working the register, but it was one of those situations where I didn't need his attitude considering I wasn't late.
The course is definitely unique as it has that swampy/marshes feel to it on the back 9. Either way, half the holes on the back nine aren't even remotely unkempt. The pace of play is a congested because despite them booking 10 minutes apart, they're booking 4 sums. The group in front of us was pushing the group ahead of them after having let them play through to "alleviate a jam".
I'm not going back there again.
