About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Not their best
I’ve played here several times. Course was in terrible shape. Tee boxes and fairways not mowed, greens looked like the holes haven’t been changed in several days. Very disappointed not what I expected.
Good value
Fix your divots people!!! Sure the course workers can go out and fix them but my god, courtesy people!!! Tee boxes are being regrown so they’re a little rough but not bad at all. When the course is prime I’m sure they could charge way more than they do.
A must play
This is a great course, well manicured fairways abs the greens are challenging and contoured nicely. Staff was great, Driving range for warm up is nice as well. Overall worth $50 on a Saturday for sure! Quiet, beautiful and a well maintained course. In my top 5 local spots within f a half hour drive of Sacramento.
Pleasant surprise
Been awhile playing Teal Bend . Dramatic improvement in conditions of fairways greens surrounds etc. only issue was top dressing several tee boxes but come back in 30 and they will be golden.
Monday 8 am threesome played 18 holes in 3 hours 15 min. Got held up a little by a geritol 2 some but at the turn they disappeared
Great senior rate. Will be back.

First time in a long time
I’ve always been put off with the overall soggy ness of the course so I haven’t ventured down from Folsom in over 6 years. I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. Not only did I get a fair first hop and run in the fairways, but the front approaches were firm when required and allowed a hop up to front pins. Greens about a week away from 5/5 after being punched a few weeks back. Tee boxes were very good or being worked on and still in very good condition(go take a look how it’s done Darkhorse). Overall, it’s back in the rotation for Sac area courses.
Good course routing
Course has excellent drainage. Largely flat, doglegs left and right, multiple tees, well positioned water hazards and natural areas give the course a nice fit in its natural terrain. No homes or other structures on the course or in sight. Course plays moderately fast. Green speed moderate, not much slope. A fun course, not punishing. Conditioning okay, but not great.
