About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Great layout but greens are in fair condition
We were really surprised by the green conditions at the coarse. They all have a significant number of large gouges/ballmarks. After the first few holes I really got tired of fixing ballmarks. I would not pay their prime time tee price with greens in this condition. Fairways were good condition, but numerous sand traps had no sand and were hard packed dirt. They were very hard to get out of with their high lips. Pro shop and restaurant staff were great . I hope Teal Bend will address these issue as the course is a great layout.
Always a challenging and enjoyable course
This time the greens were punched a week ago. They gave us a 39% discount. We had a very enjoyable round and appreciate their friendly generosity.
Course matenince
They had just plugged and sanded the greens. Other than that it was in good shape. Had a good time
Conditions sub standard
We have played here many times over the years and the coarse is usually in great shape. This time was a little different. There were weeds growing in the bunkers, fairways had not been mowed in a few days. The greens have a lot of scars from repaired ball marks for some reason. We had an 8:50 tee time and saw the beverage cart once on 16. Love the coarse and layout but it did not live up to past standards. We will be back and hope to see improved conditions.
Only problem I see at this course is the players who play there. Teal Bend gives away free divot repair tools however to many players don’t use them?
Hot day - Hot deal made it worth it
Everything was really nice. Course was pretty vacant. Greens were consistent and challenging. Rough fairways and bunker were in great shape minus one that I hit. A good day over all.
Great golf
Everything is fantastic about this course. Only flaw is the greens are littered with dead spots from divots. I played this course earlier in the summer and the greens were much nicer.
Nice Course
Tucked away back in the trees. Well designed. It amazes me how close you can be to the airport but hear nothing.
Honest assesment
Great course for novice golfers. Not too challenging, a d great staff!!
A truly fun course
One of my favorite courses , about one hour from my home and worth the trip. Each hole is lined with trees and beautiful as well as fun.
The driving range and putting green are excellent and the pro shop well stocked with great service from the attentive staff.
Pace of play is adequate, our twosome played in under 4 hours with no undue delays.
If I had a negative it would be the food was a bit sub par but otherwise a perfect day ( except for my score).
I will definitely be back.
Shrug
Tried to play midday on a Friday during Hot Deals, starter let us go out early and we still had a 4 and a half hour 16 hole round. Pace was incredulously slow with hardly 3 groups playing. Marshal wouldn’t urge group ahead of us because one of group was an employee. Like the course but around this time with so many leaves and duck feathers it makes it tough if you’re not in the middle.
