Teal Bend Golf Club
About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Teal Bend review
This was the first time I’ve played this course, overall l was very satisfied with it. It can be difficult if you get off the fairway and has several risk to reward shots to challenge you. Ball placement is key on several of the holes. The greens seem very receptive, my one and only complaint would be that several of the greens need attention from prior ball marks and golfers not repairing the divots correctly. I did appreciate that on some of the holes there were baskets of divot repair tools to use, so it makes me think they are aware of the problem and trying to resolve it. Overall this is a great course, challenging and fun. The staff is very friendly and the clubhouse has really good food and drink. I will play this course again.
I love this course
Love this course bit of a drive but worth it all value based on golfnow price don't care for 2-4 golfers listing I play almost exclusively as a single so I have to wait for single player listing...both tims I've played with fun people Ollie and Lorraine and Manny and 2 frat boys from Davis
Teal bend review
The course was in accident shape. Greens were like carpet. The staff is always courteous and present. Everything about this course says inviting.
Serious challenging golf course
I am a high handicapper who tends to play from adjacent fairways a lot. That is fine on a muni course but these fairways are lined with dense trees, brush, poison oak and blackberry thickets so when you are out of the fairway you won't even find your ball, let alone be able to take your next shot. The greens can also be tiered and sloped so there aren't many straight putts. Add some water hazards and this adds up to a real golf course. Bring plenty of balls.
Tee off at 6 pm played 18 holes
Great course we had a lot of fun no one in front of us until 17th hole The course in great shape staff very nice wildlife on course ( bobcat, deer and turkey we will be back
Fun in the sun
Great set up course, not to hard and not to easy. Greens a little tricky today but front placement made up for it.
Good for Early Birds
No problems at first light. Greens were super fast.
Teal Bend in the morning.
We started at 6:30 am. Very nice morning. Course in solid shape. Played the round in 3:45. Well worth the money.
Great shape
Course is long but reachable in two for most holes. And it’s in great shape, with high risk high rewards. Overall I highly recommend this course to anyone.
Fun and challenging course
Different layout on every hole. Big greens. Definitely demand your A game to keep a good score card. Staffs are courteous and friendly.
Hidden treasure
Loved this course, was in exelant condition! Will play here any chance I get!! Very well maintained!
Still the best golf course for Natomas/Woodland/Davis people.
You really feel like you're out in a forest when you play Teal. Beautiful natural scenery, no houses, the occasional airport noises (no overflights, just the occasional jet roar from a takeoff on a couple of holes). Course was in very good condition, staff was friendly, and I had to wonder why I hadn't trekked out here for a while from Davis. Definitely worth a trip.
An absolutely great course
This course is a gem, great layout, natural surroundings, great practice facilities, great management etc etc etc !!!!
REALLY need a marshal
I'm sorry but there is nothing about a golf course that makes it great when a normal 9 holes takes more than 2 hours and 40 minutes. Very nice staff, great people at snack bar / bar, good layout and pretty good conditions. But we had to give up on #15 because we were entering hour 5 with 4 holes left. Two groups ahead of us was a 5 some and the other group was 4 people with an 8 year old driving a cart. Seriously!? Golf courses HAVE to realize that slow play is a PRIME reason why we can't get 20 or 30 year old people to go play golf. Get a polite but firm marshal that isn't afraid to enforce speed of play. You can put all the signs you want on the carts and on the course but it simply does no good without enforcement.
Teal Bend
Teal Bend was in good shape. Greens quick, but fair. Well maintained.
