Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.
If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.
Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Love the course. Staff is great, gonna play again next weekend.

Play a lot of golf ... this is a great track. Challenging, not pretentious, this is what it’s about
A course in decline
Waterchase was once a premium public course commanding a fairly steep fee. Over the past few years, they have let it go quite a bit. The signature waterfall hasn’t functioned in years, the temporary building pro shop became permanent and is starting to rot, the bunker sand has turned to crunchy moon rock and the cart paths have cracked and even in spots fallen into the Trinity river. It’s not a total loss. The layout is still fantastic and the tees, fairways, and greens were in fair winter conditions. Worth a bargain price, but no longer a Ft. Worth jewel.

Course conditions we good given the time of year and past weather. Greens didn’t roll the best.
Waterchase has always been a great choice
The course (especially the greens) was in great winter condition in spite of the extreme weather conditions recently experienced by the course.
Course In Excellent Shape!
The greens are in excellent shape and the course in it’s entirety is fantastic. The course was crowded die to the holiday and was only able to complete 12 Holes before darkness.
Challenging course that needs a little work
Challenging course that needs some work.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. The course has a good mix of par 3,4 and 5 holes. Fairways are mostly hilly and challenging. Tee boxes are very sandy-need some work. Greens are quick with some difficult layouts. Many people jumping around to different holes on the course this day. Play stayed at a good pace but kept getting new groups around on the back nine. Cart paths decent except around the creek where the path has fallen into the consuming bank. Very similar to riverside cart paths. Little on the high side of the price range for the quality at this time but seems like they are working to improve. Would play again but not on regular basis at this time.
No easy holes on the back 9
You better score well on the front. The adventure begins on the long drive to the 10th tee. If you enjoy thinking before every shot this is your place.

Clubhouse is a trailer but doesn't look the part in the inside. l
I can't wait to get my next chance at that back 9.
