Waterchase Golf Course
About
Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.
If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.
Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Great Course
Great Course! Had an early morning Sunday tee time, was never pushed from behind or held up by the group in front, which was a pleasant surprise for a holiday weekend. The course itself is awesome. As the other reviews say, it's tricky. There are some hard holes. Definitely bring some extra balls, especially if it's your first time playing. There were a handful of times I thought I hit a good shot, only to find there was a hazard I couldn't see. But! I liked that! The course was in great shape too, fairways were nice, roughs weren't too punishing but still noticeable difference. The greens were great, ran true and fast. The bunkers were rough, but understandable given all the rain. A little pricey at 75 bucks in my opinion, but would definitely go back again, and plan on it!
Great course, slow with no marshall
PlayedSunday. Of course it should be a little slow but 5 hours for us. Slow group ahead and no marshal to push them along. I'll be back but not on the weekend.
Fantastic Course
Not many courses are in this amazing shape this time of year. Receptive greens, lush fairways and well maintained bunkers (though luckily I avoided those). Grounds crew should certainly be applauded. Challenging course as well. Definitely rewards accuracy over power. Though power is certainly needed sometimes. And it drains very well. Its been pouring in DFW the past 2 days and I honestly dont remember any standing water anywhere. Staff was also very friendly and polite. And for the price it's impeccable. I definitely will play again
Great course
Not many courses around here are in this great of shape, particularly this time of year. Great receptive greens, lush fairways and well maintained bunkers (though luckily I avoided those). Especially for the pricing, its impeccable. And challenging to say the least. Definitely rewards accuracy over power, though at times power is certainly necessary. It would have played even better were it not soggy-ish considering it just poured the last 2 days. But it drained very well, I can't even remember seeing much standing water on the course, if any. Staff was very nice. Grounds crew should be applauded for their very very good work
Beautiful / Challenging Course!
Such an immaculate conditioned course! Beautiful layout and terrain... for about 4 hours, I forgot I was in Texas and thought I was in South Carolina or something playing golf!
Very challenging course if you cannot control your golf ball!!! LOTS of hazards, water, and windy brush areas that come into play. For a average golfer like me with not the best shot control, it made for quite a few lost balls and a not-so-stellar day but it was absolutely worth it with how beautiful and interesting the course is! Cannot wait to play it again!
BEST Course in DFW with fun holes
By far my favorite course around Dallas. Beautiful and well kept course. Very fun and interesting holes. Greens were in Excellent condition and lots of water and large sand-traps to make the course challenging. Loved the split fairways with trees or water in the center. Cant wait to go back.
Just moved to Texas
Moved here 3 weeks ago and have golfed a few courses and Waterchase is my favorite so far. Staff and the gentlemen I was paired with were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend giving it go.
Such a great layout
Lots of risk reward, split fairways, links style. Love this place. Not terribly long but if you don’t hit it straight you’ll pay. Greens are really nice and challenging too.
Run, Don't Walk... to Waterchase!
Overall, the best experience you'll have in DFW without paying $100+ for the round. Generally, pace of play is great and the course conditions are ALWAYS fantastic. Tons of variety from hole to hole and incredible scenery with multiple elevated tees.
If it's your first time playing the course, bring extra balls... you'll lose a few. But you'll have a great time in the process.
Also... spend time on the putting greens prior to starting your round. The greens here are in much better condition to most public courses, so expect balls to break heavily, release off of slopes, and move quickly downhill.
I enjoyed it so much I decided to buy a membership... I play it 2 - 3 times/week and every round is fun and challenging.
Love the course, did not like the pace
I played this course for the 1st time yesterday. I had always heard very positive feedback from others and generally agree.
I loved the target golf aspect and the mix of some holes in treelined environment while others are more links like. The pins were very tricky as just about all of them were within 10 feet of the green's edge but I liked the challenge.
I was NOT happy with the 5 hour round on a weekday, especially. I did not see a Marshal out there and it was a real downer to my experience. Fortunately, many of the holes had trees to protect us from the sun on a 100+ degree day and this is one of the few courses with water coolers on the course due to COVID.
Overall, I will give it a thumbs up.
1st Timers Beware
Great course and beautifully maintained. First time playing, and played much too aggressive. Lay-ups necessary on several holes and several blind hazards. If it’s your first time, play it safe and layup!
This course is the best course I’ve played so far in Ft. Worth. I’m new to the area and this is where I will be regularly playing. Good deal at twilight on the weekends. The course is a challenge but is a fun layout where good shots are rewarded. The course can play both short and long with wind helping and hurting on about the same number of holes so take advantage of those downwind. There is a lot of risk/reward shots off the tees on par 4s as they aren’t super long but If driver is selected it will have to be hit precisely. The greens are great here as well. The roll true and have nice pace to them. I can’t wait to play here again
Great course
Played on a Saturday morning and it was a 5 hour round, but that was the only downside. Demanding and challenging course with a great layout and good conditions. Definitely will try to play here more often! Excellent course. Might be a too overwhelming for a beginner, so definitely no shame in playing the forward tees here.
Wasn’t terrible but after paying $65 we were stuck with another group of 2. There was at least 4 groups of 4 ahead of us. We waiting at least 10 mins at every Tbox. Our cart started dying on hole 2. Almost didn’t make it back to the clubhouse to exchange it. Other than that the course is in great shape. Wouldn’t hurt to run a brush hog around some of the holes that have 10’ Johnson grass.
