The grass is horrible and it’s mostly cart path only which is painful over Texas heat. A little bit frustrated…

There are some temporary par threes on the course due to freezing issues. The greens were airated but still rolled very true.

Played Sunday 7-25. Hadn't played this course in a while, but generally have enjoyed it in the past, good layout, greens roll true, etc. Today was disappointing. They are resodding many fairways. Cart path only on quite a few holes. The green feea are too expensive for a course in this kind of shape right now. We'll be back, but will probably wait until closer to the end of the year to see how the resodding went.

This course is normally in great shape from tee to green. I have not played it in a while and was I ever shocked to see the fairways looking like a construction zone. Patches of new sod everywhere and tons of bare spots in most every fairway. No explanation given in the clubhouse as to way. It’ was like BAU. Disappointing, especially knowing what shape this one used to be in.

First timer here and loved every minute of this round. The layout is great and the two water holes were fun to play. Hit a lot of driver today medium accuracy required. Young friendly staff keep the coolers full on hot day!

I’d wait a couple of weeks to play this course because they are currently playing 15 & 18 as par threes for sod growth in fairways.

My advise to the course management would be to rope off the portion of the fairway on 18 that is under repair and let people swing away. Fairway is plenty big and being a par 5 most players tee shots will fall short of that spot and over on approach; Worst case players could take relief without causing damage. Also, Plz add more yardage markers!

Anyway, I’ll be returning and would recommend.

Two holes, 1 par4 and 1 par5 were being played as par3 because of minor turf replacement in the fairway. Since the whole course was cart-path-only, why? There was no risk to the player or the course playing as normal!

Course is still a mess. Fairways are still damaged,

Tried booking for 3 ppl which they would only allow for 4. Paid $80+ each for 4 players and having only 3 we were teamed up with a 4th…… once on the course the beverage cart was non existent and everything water station was empty. The greens were thick and many fairways were under repair from the freeze. Definitely not worth the $320+ I HAD to pay for 3 ppl!!!!

I like to play several courses in DFW and Frisco Lakes is always in the rotation. It is a nice layout and challenging course. It had rained 2 inches in the morning so it was cart path only and the greens were slower than normal (assumed they didn't cut due t rain). It was in very good shape overall, except for some lingering damage from the deep freeze we had this past winter. Some sodding was being done to repair but none of if affected play. Staff was super friendly and it was nice to get out and enjoy the course. I will be going back to play it again, and again.

Major issues with loss of grass on fairways and greens, but the biggest problem is the 6” Bermuda grass rough. Ridiculous , unless you’re playing in the US Open!

Waited on every hole. Marshal did nothing about it. Fairways are horrible due to freeze. They should not be charging full price.

Very slow play but it was hot , very hot . The course is a great layout but the condition is poor. Wait and few months to play and let the grass grow back in and the sans traps can be repaired.

I live in Frisco Lakes and I have become totally disgusted with the manner the residents here are treated by ownership. Even having my own golfcart, I pay 10-15 dollars more for this course that is in horrible shape. The number of holes that have been changed to Par 3 instead of the usual Par 4 due to the condition of the fairways makes this course totally unacceptable to any golfer that is interested in having a pleasent round of golf.

As if this wasn't enough to ruin a round of golf, the number of "cart path only" holes is ever increasing. If you're going to make us walk so many holes, why even rent/have a cart?

I recognize that the course was hit hard by the freeze, but don't expect me to continue to pay full price for a very substandard product. As a home owner, I would love to play here and use my golfcart, but I will not be back until changes are made to this course and to the attitude of the owner.,

Enjoyed a fun round out by the Lakes today, everything was awesome!

The greens hadn’t been cut, the greens had sod patches on them. The fairways were dead in a lot of places, with sod patches that were not level with the rest of the fairway. Lastly, as we played the entire back nine the green sprinklers were being turned off so we could play, but with the already slow greens and the added water it made putts impossible. Really wish the club would’ve just closed Bc the course is unplayable as it sits. I’ve heard before that this course was really nice which was why I wanted to play it so hopefully they can get this fixed.
