About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

UNPLAYABLE COURSE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
THIS COURSE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN UNTIL IT IS FIXED!! This course isn’t playable! The fairways look like a patchwork quilt!! There is bare patches, standing water from sprinklers, and huge patches of sod just thrown down on ALL THE FAIRWAYS!! They don’t advertise it or tell you at the pro shop but 2 of the par 5’s are “temporary” poorly thrown together “par 3’s” with the “Tee Boxes” on slanted parts of what was once a fairway! The 18th hole, which is supposed to be a par 5, is less that 100 yards par 3!! On the one open par 5 the fairway is such a mess that I actually had a ball go under the sod and was unplayable IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FAIRWAY!!! Besides all that the rough is so long that you can lose your ball 2 feet off the fairway! All the fairways have swamps, standing water from sprinklers, huge bare patches, and half the holes are “cart path only” from them being is such horrible shape!! This course should be shut down until it’s fixed and is a $10 course at best as it stands NOT A $60+ course!!!! The only good thing about this course is the carts are nice and the bunkers are fairly decent! The putting greens even have sand and divots on them! I understand that this last winter wreaked havoc on a lot of courses but I’ve played multiple course in the DFW area that had storm damage but they looked like PGA courses compared to this one!! This app won’t allow me to upload photos of how horrible the fairways are!
No Water, No Tee's set up, No help
I have played this course many times before and it has always been in great shape. However that was not the case this time. I had not played it on over a year and things have long really bad since then. The fairways are mostly under repair, the roughs are cut so high it your that you can not find your ball unless you have a land mark for reference. No water on the course due to Covid however the racks are in the traps and no styrofoam around the poles. so there attempt at saving it is for Covid is more of excuse for just being lazy or not paying staff to fill the water jugs. If the community is older and afraid of covid at does not live surfaces for the most part should simple not use the water spicket's on the course.

Should've been better
This course was once a pretty nice place to play....well kept all around, tee boxes, consistent greens, payable fairways/rough. I understand all courses need continued maintenance, but let us know before booking that quite a few of the fairways are in disrepair... AND the first cut of rough which should be payable will completely eat up your ball! It's okay though, because you'll definitely find two other guys' balls for those who played it before you. Frustrating to hit a decent amateur shot, barely in the rough, and not be able to find it. Greens were also a guessing game from hole to hole...

Disappointed!!
I have played this course many times and today was the worst I have seen the course. The rough was uncut in many areas, the bunkers were in poor shape. It was definitely not worth the price.

Not a $90 course
If you are in the first cut of rough you will not find your ball without a search party. Too many fairways ground under repair including every par 5.

I love the layout. Greens have improved but still not great. Fairways are being sodded and several holes are playing as par 3's because they are still working on them. You have to sometimes move the ball to a spot where grass is off bare spot. It's still playable but not at those prices.

Love the course but…
The grass is horrible and it’s mostly cart path only which is painful over Texas heat. A little bit frustrated…

Still Mending
There are some temporary par threes on the course due to freezing issues. The greens were airated but still rolled very true.

Fairways in bad shape
Played Sunday 7-25. Hadn't played this course in a while, but generally have enjoyed it in the past, good layout, greens roll true, etc. Today was disappointing. They are resodding many fairways. Cart path only on quite a few holes. The green feea are too expensive for a course in this kind of shape right now. We'll be back, but will probably wait until closer to the end of the year to see how the resodding went.

Fairway Mess
This course is normally in great shape from tee to green. I have not played it in a while and was I ever shocked to see the fairways looking like a construction zone. Patches of new sod everywhere and tons of bare spots in most every fairway. No explanation given in the clubhouse as to way. It’ was like BAU. Disappointing, especially knowing what shape this one used to be in.

Great pace of play!
First timer here and loved every minute of this round. The layout is great and the two water holes were fun to play. Hit a lot of driver today medium accuracy required. Young friendly staff keep the coolers full on hot day!
I’d wait a couple of weeks to play this course because they are currently playing 15 & 18 as par threes for sod growth in fairways.
My advise to the course management would be to rope off the portion of the fairway on 18 that is under repair and let people swing away. Fairway is plenty big and being a par 5 most players tee shots will fall short of that spot and over on approach; Worst case players could take relief without causing damage. Also, Plz add more yardage markers!
Anyway, I’ll be returning and would recommend.

Why?
Two holes, 1 par4 and 1 par5 were being played as par3 because of minor turf replacement in the fairway. Since the whole course was cart-path-only, why? There was no risk to the player or the course playing as normal!

Over priced for the condition and lack of on course service
Tried booking for 3 ppl which they would only allow for 4. Paid $80+ each for 4 players and having only 3 we were teamed up with a 4th…… once on the course the beverage cart was non existent and everything water station was empty. The greens were thick and many fairways were under repair from the freeze. Definitely not worth the $320+ I HAD to pay for 3 ppl!!!!
