About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Great course - Greens are a disaster
This is one of my favorite courses. Great layout with a very nice mix of holes. #9 and #18 are beautiful par-5s. They just reopened after the COVID 19 shutdowns. The fairways are wonderful, better right now than all of the other courses I am playing. The greens however are horrible. It looks like about 40% of the grass grew in and the rest either didn't grow or died. On top of that they aerated them also adding to the extreme bumpiness. However there was no mention of this on the website or when I checked in. I expect a lot more for $48 for a walking senior during the week.

Greens
The greens were terrible . It will take a month to recover. In all the years I have played here they're the worst I've seen.

Pass on this one for now
$51 to walk, TERRIBLE greens (sandy, more mold than grass) - not a great experience when other courses are charging half as much with greens and course conditions much better.

The greens are in bad shape but fairways are in great shape. They punched the greens but not responding fast yet... Very bumpy, could use a mow and roll.

Lousy greens
Course is in good shape except for the greens. They are REALLY BAD! Hit the green and just add 2. Don't waste your time trying to putt.

Greens
Greens are in the worst condition. Grass is dead. Putting is like putting on an old paved street.

Stay at home for now
I try to be fair in my reviews. I will be honest here. If you are not a member at Frisco Lakes, stay away for awhile. I paid near regular price on a Monday morning at 7am for this: No carts, no flagsticks, no water, locked restrooms, bare greens, and no staff on hand. I don't think they are maintaining the golf course during covid-19 measures. Members have their carts and can just drive everywhere, but walking is pretty tough.
Give them a chance to get up to speed again once the county re-opens. Until then, it is best to leave it to the members.
It is 1 star right now. After they get back to full operations it will be 3.5 - 4.5 stars. It was a big letdown to arrive and see no one around, members driving carts right up to the greens, no water or restrooms (while walking!) and recently punched and bare greens with no flagsticks or cups. Give them a month, it will back to normal.

Frisco Lakes
Frisco Lakes punched their greens two weeks ago and they are still very bumpy and slow. The rest of the course was excellent.
Due to covid - no range, no carts, no clubhouse. Online pre-payment only. But reduced rates currently, and $40 for a 12:00 tee time on a perfect sunny Sunday - still a great deal.

Did not get to play. Round was to include cart per GolfNow. Clubhouse closed. Only walking. No golf 2 wheel carts. Bad deal. Got money put toward future booking. Drove 80 miles roujd trip to play. Not happy. Thinks the steps were tak8ng was unnecessary!

Worst Greens
Pretty nuts that the greens are literally unputtable and they’re charging $51 to walk. Sad! Very Unfair! Worst greens I have seen in years, they got a really, really bad fungus.

Greens are unplayable
Staff was friendly for the most part. The tees and fairways are in good shape and the layout is fun. The greens are completely unplayable. We were told they were punched 10 days ago, but It seems like they haven’t watered since then. They are extremely bumpy and burnt out. You don’t have a prayer of making a putt outside of 3 feet. Not worth $50 right now, but it might be worth a try in a few months.

Needs some attention
Charged $51 to walk, and I thought ok, maybe they are trying to recoup some of the income they lost from being closed for a couple weeks and I'll help support a local course. But the course was in horrible shape - especially the greens. Most of the grass was gone, lots of sand, prior aeration holes, etc. Putting on it was a joke. Not worth the money paid. Need to wait awhile before I play here again until they get the course back into better shape.

The greens are so terrible. The worse I’ve seen. It’s has fungus. Save your money.

Couse was still muddy on certain holes due to last weeks rain. Pace of play was slow. Took 5-hrs. to play.
