Frisco Lakes Golf Club

Played Frisco Lakes in pretty cold day with a 9 AM tee time. Temp was around 50* F with a light wind from the north. The course overall was in pretty good condition considering that North Texas had 24" of rain in Sept - Oct. Additionally, it rained some a couple days prior. The best thing about the round was that the greens were in very good condition and fast. They were firm and rolled true. It made putting a little challenging since the greenskeeper put the pins near some of the roll off areas. Overall, despite the cold the round was enjoyable and I will be back.

The course was wet due to the enormous amount of rain. This review is based on interaction with the course staff. The course has had some issues with drainage, so we were required to use cart path only. That is not the problem. The problem is that the marshal decided to berate us on the 18th tee box that there were several groups behind us. No.... The next group was only on the 17th green and we were in the process of teeing off. It is getting dark, but still playing cart path only golf in 4.5 hours is a win in my books. The marshal was very rude and the comments he directed to us were not warranted. After the round, we decided to have a quick drink in the bar since the course did not have a beverage cart in service. The young lady behind the bar was very nice and not an issue. However, the pro shop attendant was just like the marshal. I asked a simple question in regards to the pace of play, when the course is cart path only. He became very agitated and stated they do take that into consideration, but 4.5 hours is too long. I find that hard to believe since there was always a group in front of us and the group behind us was never pushing us. I find this course needs a complete overhaul of the golf staff or needs new management.

The entire course was too wet and muddy to even play, my feet sunk into the mud on every fairway and hit shots nearly impossible what a waste of my money!!!!!!

Great place to walk and play with all the rain we had as of late. It made for some difficult rough, soft greens and slow fairways but overall the course was in great shape except for some of the traps that were unplayable.

Fairways were in good shape but the greens and traps needed work. Many traps had no sand.

Go out and play. The rains have helped tremendously. Only issue is mowers need to trim the rough more. I’m sure this will happen once the rains let up. Tee boxes, fairways and greens look great.

Course in very great shape. Pace of play very good with marshal checking on groups regularly. Greens and fairways are excellent. Staff friendliness not that great. As good as any public course in the area.

There were not enough water coolers on the course and there were no carts girls selling water or snacks

Course is in great shape. Uninspiring layout and not that challenging. Be prepared for 5 hr round. Course mashall ineffective, no cart girl or beverage support on course. Ball cleaners all bone dry. Water stations sporadically placed. You are on your own out there.

Actually played with the superintendent. Course was in great condition, it had even rained the night before. Every hole has character and it's a difficult course. Play from the tips and your over 7,000 yards, so they have a tee for everyone. Greens in great condition, pure rolls. Excellent value and course, one of my favorites.

I have played this course since they had a trailer for a club house. I have seen the conditions vary over time, as with most public venues. The course itself is pretty good shape. The people who run this place do not have a clue. It's something every week. Forget there are weeds waist high growing in the landscaping, really?? Forget they put out singles a twosomes behind each other. Forget it takes 10 minutes to get a hot dog, but no beverage cart AGAIN! The excuse this time was someone forgot to pay their liquor licence. How do forget that!! And what does that have to do with soda, Gatorade and snacks? Get a Clue!!

The course is very nice with good holes, many tee choices and in good shape. Greens are true. Only negative is some groups think they are pros and tee off from back tees and take way too much time hitting shots and putts. Marshalls need to help speed up play.

Great course great deal on golfnow Played on Friday w overcast weather and there were more Marshallls than golfers. Course is beautiful! Greens true. I will return soon.

Always always a pleasure to play Frisco Lakes GC. Greens impeccable shape. Fairways mowed and ready ! Tee boxes always level ... can’t say enough ! For the money can’t beat it ! I have always had a great time at FLGC ! Tough track and many tee boxes to choose from. ... don’t stop giving customers something to look forward to.

Fairways & greens were in good condition, considering the heat & no rain.

There were a few young boys playing a round with fathers & grandfathers. Pace of play was slow. Ended-up going around them & jumping a couple of holes.
