Frisco Lakes Golf Club
About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Great course
Greens and fairways in great shape.
Fun course, challenging, but not rediculous.
Only negative was lack of cart girl/water (played early morning and very thirsty by hole 13).
Fun golf course
The course was in great shape, I liked the design, and it has open fairways for you t shot. The greens are a fair size and putted very good. I will play this course again.
Good course pace was a little slow.
I enjoy this course and staff is very friendly. The only problem was one group in front us slowed up the whole course. We told the marshal but he seemed to scared to say anything.
The only other thing was the restaurant not up to par for such a good course.
My favorite course in TX
Good Course layout, good practice range , chipping area. I love this course and recommend to everybody.
Course Great....Pace Of Play Not So Much
Had not played here in awhile and was rather impressed by the course conditions. The greens were in good shape and the fairways were in better than decent shape. Unfortunately, we spent way more time waiting than playing. It was the slowest round we have played in years. There was a starter at the #1 tee box and then no sign of a marshal although we did see someone driving a cart with 'Marshal' on it. When we were standing on the 18th tee waiting to tee off, there were 2 groups waiting with us and 3 groups on the 17th hole.
Will I go back? Yes but I'd sure like to see a willingness for them to monitor slow play.
Challenging course
This course is fun and fair. Challenge for every level of golfer
Disappointed
We arrived on time for a 8:45 tee time and headed towards the starter only to see 6 foursomes on the tee box. We didn't tee off until 30 minutes late and had over a 5 hour round.
The starter was rude and obnoxious when we asked how it was so backed up.
It looked as if they squeezed a large group ahead of us as they were all together on the tee area.
Beauty That's Not a Beast
Really good course. Extremely fair challenge for the duffer. Beautiful holes with generous fairways and good sized greens. Tee boxes were level and not chewed up. I was very impressed with the fairways and greens. Didn't have a tight lie in a fairway all day. The greens were smooth and received a good approach shot so that a good shot was always rewarded. But, stay out of the rough!!! Thick!!! It is hard to see your ball, even standing right next to it.
The bunkers are not very good. Sand is thin. All in all, I really think this is one of the most fun courses in DFW.
Stay Away
I will start with the course itself. Best way to describe it, overpriced goat ranch and I only paid $41.00. Then I get to the part where I felt like I woke up in the twilight zone. The cashier double charged me for the round of golf, no big deal, it happens. When I received my credit card bill the second charge was obviously never credited. I called the golf course manager a few times, left a message with the pro shop a couple times…nothing. Finally i was able to reach the GM after three weeks. Sent him a copy of the statement showing the card was charged twice, his quote "really there is no way of knowing if the card was charged twice." All I could do was laugh. No big loss the course is a dump, greens were a mess and fairways not that great. I will be taking my business to Trails of Frisco or Westridge.
Good Course
After playing this course over a dozen times, I can say it's a good home course. The course challenges both strategically and tactically, and is in very good condition. Several holes are distinctive, and many are surprisingly interesting.
Great course, great staff
Enjoyed my round of golf at Frisco Lakes. Looking forward to returning.
Thanks,
Casey
Hot and Ecliose day.
We played twice of rounds at front 9 holes due to
Aeroficarions back 9 holes.
great value
I was able to get an exceptionally low rate on Golf Now for the round.Course was wet because of heavy rains but was in great shape otherwise.
Prepare for a 6+ hour round
This used to be one of my favorite courses to play at. Frisco Lakes has a great and fun lay out. But the last three times that I've played the pace of play has gone down horribly.
We've been backup two groups deep at every tee box. We even called the clubhouse to have a marshall come out to see if the pace is one group. The marshall told us (as a foursome) that we were just playing too fast (Avg 18 minutes a hole).
If the weather was cooler and you want to spend the whole day on the course, it's worth it. But if you expect to get off within 5 hours... good luck.
Enjoy the layout
One of my favorite courses in Dallas area. Overall in excellent shape. Only issue - greens were very slow.
Slow greens
Green's were a little slow, but course was in great shape.
