Frisco Lakes Golf Club
About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Well maintained course
We play golf at a lot of courses in this area, and this spring Frisco Lakes has by far the best maintained greens and fairways. They were beautiful. The pace of play was slow, but thats because the guys infront of us were not great golfers, sharing clubs, and shooting from the furthest back tees. The guys behind us kept hitting into us, which was super annoying and less than safe, but that's not the courses fault. The fairway ground was super soft, more than any other course we've played at, making pitching and chipping a little chippy, but it was probably from the spring rains and over watering. A really beautiful course that isn't to hard, but fun to play.
Course was great, even after a big rain. Aside from 3 low spots everything else was perfectly playable. Always love this course.
Greens were very nice, rolled true and good speed. Only complaint is very tight grass conditions around greens and in fairways. Especially tight around greens making chipping very difficult. Takes perfect contact to chip or pitch the ball well here. This should improve later in the season.
Great Course
Really enjoyed the course, it was in very good shape.
The greens
The greens were shaggy and our golf cart had the worst fumes
New Home Course
Frisco Lakes is now my new Home course. The layout is great. While there are patio homea on almost every hole, they aren't crowding you. It could use a restroom or two for the older guys. Thanks.
Good course conditions, SLOW pace of play
The course was in good shape. Some of the tee markers had been left off after mowing and several ball cleaning stations were missing. Greens were very good coming out of an unpredictable winter.
Fun course
Enjoyed this course. Good value and some unique holes. I especially enjoyed #7 and #8.
Fun/Challenging Layout, and in really good shape!
I was in town on vacation, and was going to play The Tribute, which I've played before, but after reading the negative reviews about the course, decided to play here at Frisco Lakes instead. I definitely was not disappointed! The course was in really good shape, especially the greens; they were a little on the softer side but rolled true. The 7th and 8th holes were beauties to behold, and enjoyed the par 5 18th as well.
Drizzling
Course was not crowded; drizzle was supposed to hold off, but didn't. Course marshals were still present helping groups along, sanding divots when time permitted, and kept our cart sand full to take care of the course. Staff cares about the course which is always in very good condition. Many risk/reward options on tee shots for you to choose. Relatively open layout so you're not holding up play looking for lost balls. Half of the Par 5's reachable in 2 if your long irons are accurate.
Enjoyable Golf
This was our third time at this course as visitors from the UK. We have always had a friendly welcome. The course was in good condition given the torrential rain that had fallen two days before. The greens were particularly true and fast (at least they were for Brits escaping from the deepest winter). It is a fair layout for the recreational golfer with really interesting holes at 7 and 8 and two good par fives at 9 and 18. We will be back again on our next trip.
Great value, nice layout with numerous options for all level of player
My first time to play the course. Staff was friendly and helpful, pace of play was very good. I enjoyed the course layout which by virtue of tee box placement i can see can offer nice options for all level of players. I will be back
Greatness
First time to play this course. Very very windy and cold. But had a blast amazing layout .. kept in perfect shape . And with it being winter and dormant still had decent lies "not too tight" they have done a outstanding job. I'll be back for sure
Great course
The course is very well kept! The staff at the bar/grill are always friendly and smiling. The staff in the golf shop that i have met, Matt and Max are always smiling and always make you feel welcomed, the provide awesome customer service too. All the starters and marshalls are also very nice and smiling and always to ensure you're having a good time. It's these people who make all the difference at Frisco Lakes golf course. I have been telling all my friends and they've been very happy with Frisco Lakes golf course that they are also telling thier friends. That's probably the reason why Frisco Lakes are always busy! Having a well maintained course and great staff equals a successful golf course!
Unique & Fun Course. Friendly staff, beautiful clubhouse, great food as well.
This is a excellent course for the value.
Unique and challenging layout no matter your handicap. Pace of play a tad slow, but cart girls where around for refresher on your drink ; twice per 9 holes.
Definitely will be playing this course again.
Busy course lined with houses and retired residents
Hope you don't want to be alone because you won't be. Wether it's the golfers behind you or in front of you not to mention all the residents in their back yards who make comments while you're golfing. This is a retirement community with lots of grumpy people lining the fairways!
Frisco Lakes is a great value
I played Frisco Lakes yesterday. The weather was chilly which reduced the number of golfers on the course. Our twosome never had to wait to play and never had to hurry. The greens were smooth. The course was in very good condition for February in North Texas.
