Frisco Lakes Golf Club
About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

fade it
Course was built for faders. Great conditions considering morning rains. Good speed on the greens, lots of grass on the fairways. Now that I live much closer, I will be back.
great value
The course was in great shape. The starter let our foursome tee off a few minutes early as the group scheduled ahead of us wasn't ready.
Pace of play was perfect! Playing off two different tee boxes (gold & white), we never had to wait & were never pushed from behind. Finished the round in 3:45
Fairways had a lot of roll, found all of our wayward shots in the rough & could get a hybrid out - a few challenging holes, greens ran true and a little fast. Quite a few unfixed ball marks on the greens, but that's to be expected on a public course.
Staff was friendly in the pro shop, grill, and on the course. Cart girl came by several times.
A great day on the course & an excellent value with deal on Golf Now. Would recommend and play here again!
Resident Review
Sand traps are in horrible shape, greens have just been punched and sanded so be ware. The club house is not sufficiently staffed on a regular bases and pace of play is getting slow.
illegal holes location 2 days in a row
I love this course, is always in great shape, but I was disappointed last week. I played 2 days in a row, and different pin placement every day, but 3 holes were on a slope on the first day, and 2 on the second day. I know they want make the hole challenging and there's nothing wrong with that, but is not when you put the hole right on the slope.
Basic rules of golf.
I hope the groundskeeper can reads this.
Rule 16.3
An area two to three feet in radius around the hole should be as nearly level as possible and of uniform grade. In no case should holes be located in tricky places, or on sharp slopes where a ball can gather speed. A player above the hole should be able to stop the ball at the hole.
Pace of play was 6 hours
I played her on Sunday. They were booking tee times at 9 minutes apart. All the tee times started on time (mine was 9 am). But we quickly found by whole three from the Marshall that they had a party get out that was suppose to be 24 player turned into 36 players of amatuer golfers. They drug down the pace of play. We ended up leaving the course after hole 13 because we were waiting an average of 20 minutes sitting at each tee box. We left playing 13 holes in 3 hours and 44 minutes. I've been trying to get a rain check, or at least something, since I like this course a lot. It's beautiful and the right challenge, but haven't received a call yet, nor a callback.
Sand Traps
The condition of the sand traps is so poor it is an insult to call them sand traps. No sand, mud covered bottoms or hard pan sand with no depth. You can lose your ball if you are unlucky enough to land in the water left in the traps.
Frisco Lakes Golf Club
Overall I really enjoyed playing this course and will definitely be back. It played well and was in decent shape. The greens were a little slow but they were consistent. There are some pretty cool holes that can be challenging. Only complaint is I never saw a cart girl.
Great course with fun holes
This was the first time I played this course and I was very impressed. It's not a long course but the greens make the accuracy of your approach shot vital. The staff was great and the practice facility was in great shape.
Great layout.
This course has a wonderful layout with challenging shots. Only complaint was the greens were recently punched and sanded. Made putting a little difficult. Still, for the money, one of my top courses in the area!
Punched and sanded greens
You should be required to advertise that you punched and sanded the greens on golf now. It was a waste of $50.
Aeration Alert
This is a comment about GolfNow, not the course. There was no indication when booking that only nine holes would be open or that they had just punched and sanded the greens.
Great Course!
Highly recommend playing, especially if you can find a hot deal. This course is in my top 5 moderately priced courses for the DFW area.
