About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Overall Good Experience
Frisco Lakes is a retirement community, and well maintained. On summer days, the seniors typically play early morning before it gets hot, so the course is pretty open in the afternoon and can be played very quickly.
Well designed course
This was over a 30 minute drive but worth it. Greens a bit slow and inconsistent but good shape. Fairways good shape. Challenging depending on how much risk u want to take.
I play a round about every 2 weeks and practice a bit in between. Will play again.
This course is always a pleasure to play
The fairways and tee boxes are always well kept. The greens are maintained and the ball rolls true. One of the best public courses to play in the area.
Wide open fairways
This is the third time I've played Frisco Lakes and it is consistently in good shape overall. The course can be a bit windier than other courses, probably because of Lake Lewisville being so close on the back 9. Outside of that, the bunkers are in good condition, the fairways are great in accomodating my errant shots. The greens are in great shape and the pace of play is slightly better than average.
Great course
My son and I had a great time at Frisco Lakes. The course was great, greens were true. The only problem is that if you've never been there, the course locator is wrong. It's about a 1/2 mile south of that, off of Anthem Drive.
not up to normal standards
Still enjoyable to play and the pace of play was excellent, but the bunkers need attention. Several were not raked/groomed and hole 6 has a green side bunker with the white synthetic turf base showing through the sand, not only was it a visual distraction, but it was a safety hazard.
Hidden Secret in the midst of a retirement community
First time playing the course, but my friend and I were paired up with a resident who gave us plenty of advise. Knowing the course has its advantages. The layout weaves in an out of residential, wooded and lake areas, with plenty of danger all around. However, the layout is inviting if not forgiving and lower scores are a possibility.
One of the hidden gems in North DFW
Great greens, great fairways, great golf carts. For the price- you could argue that this course provides some of the best "bang for your buck" in all of DFW.
Tee to green the course is well kept and the staff have always been accommodating and polite.
Left my driver club cover on a tee box and the Marshall who was driving by at the same time I realized this mishap quickly buzzed back a few holes and located my cover. I didn't ask- he just offered. The service that this course provides is above and beyond what they are expected to provide, and that's one of the reasons I'll be back as often as I can.
Slow
We play this course frequently and like playing here but Saturday 6/7 was a nightmare for slow play. This has never been a huge problem in the past, even on Saturdays. I suspect the main issue was the scheduling of the "I Tour" whatever that is. We had "I Tour" players in front of us and all I know is I saw very average players (20 handicap at best) playing from the back tees, most drives going barely past the ladies tees and never in the fairway, plumbbobbing puts way too long, actually coming back to the tee box to hit a provisional (seriously?). It was a nightmarish round of nearly 7 hours. Please Frisco Lakes never again for the I Tour. I think the marshalls could have been way more aggressive in dealing with this also
Pleasantly Surprised
Was not expecting much, but WOW!! Great course, great facility and great staff! I will be playing here again soon!
great layout
Course was in great shape. The employees behind the pro shop must of had a bad Saturday night he was not in a good mood at all. The other guys in my group all agreed. ...
But besides that all was good.
Excellent course
Course was in great shape and very well maintained. Pace of play was slow, especially on the front nine, but the conditions more than made up for it. Great course to play.
Great course
It's in great shape many tee boxes to choose from just a great course good greens a few water holes good test of golf
Slow play
Slowest round of golf our foursome has ever experienced. Five hours to play 14 holes and then it rained and we had to quit.
Memorial Day
Course was in good shape. A few of the tee boxes were beat up but the fairways were in great shape. Greens ran true and firm. Need more yardage markers around course. Will go again her anytime.
Course in excellent shape
The course was in excellent shape. The greens were the best in the area. Fairways were tight and well groomed. Sand traps actually had sand in them. The course was very well maintained. I will definitely return to play this course again.
Course looking good
This is a nice course. The back nine is easier than the front nine. The course could be over priced if you were to pay full price.
