About
Frisco Lakes Golf Club is a part of the Del Webb Frisco Lakes Community, just north of Dallas. The front nine of the course is interwoven with the community itself while the back nine sprawls across open countryside. The five sets of tees range from just over 5,000 yards to just over 7,000 yards, allowing the golf course to be played as a leisurely round or a formidable test. The challenging, well maintained greens are the course's most memorable feature. Golfers should be prepared for a back-to-back peninsula green and island green on the seventh and eighth holes. The 14th is another tough water hole that runs alongside Lake Lewisville. Water is not the only hazard at Frisco Lakes Golf Club though, there are also plenty of strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Pace of play
Pace of play was awful. Tee times were 4 minutes apart on Sunday. Marshall was helpless. Then as it was getting dark, the Marshall pulled the flag off the green while we were finishing the 15 th hole. Right in front of us! Clearly he wanted to go home. It would have been a 5 hour round. But we couldn’t finish.

Management is Missing
The ownership of this course is not only oblivious to the residents, but downright anti-resident. The course favors non-residents, but charges them rates not applicable to the condition of the course. Eleven of eighteen holes have been cart path only, good shot in the middle of the fairway are penalized due to new grass laid on top of the fairway. The GM is one of the most apathetic human beings I’ve ever met. Don’t expect a response to any communication with him. The ONLY good thing with the course is Tyler, who definitely cares about his customers, especially the residents of Frisco Lakes.

Course in good shape!
The course was in good shape and pace of play on Friday was also good. The course has recovered pretty well from the hard freeze earlier this year.

Slow play but good fun course
Good but very slow play and some fairways still not great and cart path only. Not great for $80. Greens were in good shape though.

Under Maintenance
Course is undergoing alot of renovations and maintenance work. Several holes had land under repair signs and several holes (not par 3s) were cart path only and/or had roped off sections where carts were not allowed.

Avoid this course
On fully half of the holes, the fairways are nearly unplayable. Large areas of huge clumps of new grass. You can’t drive a cart on a third of the holes, and then you have all the ground under repair.
Charging the regular fee is obscene.
I would discourage anyone looking for a good experience to consider this course.

3 temporary holes
Three par fours converted to 100 par 3's. (Repair/replace your fairway grass earlier in the year). Too many cart path only holes in September. Fringe around some greens not mowed properly. Course conditions not worth $85 round.

Stolen Clubs
I would avoid this course at all costs!! Our golf clubs were stolen and they didn’t even bother to contact us or provide any reimbursement. Everyone beware of golfing here-other customers have had their clubs stolen also #insidejob?
