Hill Country Golf Club - Creeks/Oaks
About
The Creeks Nine is one of three courses at the Hill Country Golf Club. Named after the creeks that meander through the layout, this course demands accuracy with water coming into play on several holes and numerous strategically placed bunkers. There are also wooded ravines and a variety of elevation changes to keep golfers on their toes. The Oaks Nine is named for the towering oaks that blanket the course. The courses are situated on over 200 acres of scenic Texas Hill Country, giving them each a beautiful landscape of rolling hills and lush meadows dotted with native oak trees and clear blue lakes. Hill Country Golf Club is also home to a driving range and putting green on addition to the three nines.

Creek Course #9 Photo submitted by GreerGolf on 06/06/2017
Great round of Golf
This was my first time playing golf at Hyatt Hill Country. We had great weather and enjoyed this fine course. Staff and pace of play were terrific.
Great staff. Average conditions
Very friendly, helpful staff. Very nice clubhouse. Great layout. Greens in good shape. Fairways disappointingly hard pan.
You are welcome.
Excellent course and friendly and helpful staff
Great Time and Course
Course layout was enjoyable and plays differently dependent on the tees you play. The areas around the green were tight and firm. The greens were very fast and difficult to read. Our group had a lot of lip outs.
First Class Golf!
A great overall experience! Staff was super friendly. Would go back without hesitation!
Amazing staff
I played the Creeks/Oaks combo. The creeks greens were a little slower than I'm used to and thin but rolled well. The Oaks greens were in better condition and a little quicker but had a lot more undulation. I wasn't prepared for the shift in greens condition but adjusted after a few holes. The staff was amazingly helpful, & courteous. From the pro shop to the grounds keepers. The beverage cart staff member even offered to loan me some warmer apparel as it was a very cool morning. Overall I had a great experience.
Service great, course so so.
Service and staff were top notch, but the course left a lot to be desired. Bag moved from bag drop to cart for us, off to the range. Balls included. A few puts and we were off. Tee boxes were shaggy and beat up. Noticeable overseeding that had not grown in. Fairways were in good shape, but around the greens was very thin, lots of poor lies to be found. Then the greens, burnt out, with a few showing shaggy overseed. So you went from 11-12 speed to 6 or 7 if the overseed took. Between thin lies off the green and mostly rock hard greens, not much fun for shortsiding yourself. Think I had 5 three putts.
Look for deal
Greens have had sand added to them not to log ago so it seemed the were needing to fill in. Tee boxes have been sealed recently too. Nice place to play and was not backed up. I would look for a deal on golf now before paying full price.
Enjoyable course
Played the Lakes/Creek nines followed by Creek/Oak nines a few days later. All nines were in good shape. Course is short but challenging with over hanging trees and lots of water.
Excellent course and facilities
Will be back again and highly recommend this course!!
Beautiful layput
Course was in great shape. Tough pin placement made it challenging but really fun. It was awhile since I played here and I plan on not waiting so long next time.
Good value
Booked thru golfnow.com Saved some money. Course still wet feim severe rain, but good condition considering
First Class
Great course. Super fast greens. Some fairways are a little narrow on the oaks course making it a tad more challenging.
Good course, would play again
Friendly staff, nice fairways, and fast greens going down grain. All holes were nice, one exception, #12 on the Oaks. A bit tricked up. Do not lay up, take a 3 wood and fly it over the trees, the ball will roll down near the green. If you lay back of the trees, you have a much more difficult shot to the green. Had fun, will come back.
Always a favorite!
For San Antonio golf, the Hyatt is my favorite. Because they have 27 holes, the pace always seems good with the number of golfers they allow. They also don't bunch up tee times to ridiculous increments that ensure waiting! The course is in great condition and offers lots of variety on topography and challenge. They offer new electric carts with GPS and the facilities are top notch. Always a great experience and worth the little extra to play here.
Best Bunkers in San Antonio
I played the Oaks & Lakes for a reduced "Local" rate. Staff in golf shop and on course were excellent. Course conditions were fair--except for the bunkers which have the nicest white sand in San Antonio. Most of the greens had some sort of disease or fungus, so the pins were placed away from those areas. The course was very dry, including grass bunkers near greens. Maybe they have different watering restrictions than other coursed I have played in the last month. GPS worked well, course is a target golf course. We ordered food via GPS on 7th hole--when we made the turn, the bartender said "oh, i didn't check the system" so we had to wait for her to cook the dogs--which were not cooked when we got them. 19th hole seemed to get a lot of Hotel Guests, including very young children, not what I am used to at other courses. I would play again, but not at full price.
Great layout with narrow fairways
Course is in great shape for dry Texas conditions. Greens are true and generally in good condition. There are a few bare spots on the greens. Fairways and bunkers have been well maintained and are in excellent shape.
Great round
Course was in very good shape other than a couple greens that looked like they were being worked on. Staff was great and course was challenging but fair
Interesting, relaxing course
You almost need to play this part of the course twice to be able to navigate a few tricky shots.
