Hill Country Golf Club - Creeks/Oaks
About
The Creeks Nine is one of three courses at the Hill Country Golf Club. Named after the creeks that meander through the layout, this course demands accuracy with water coming into play on several holes and numerous strategically placed bunkers. There are also wooded ravines and a variety of elevation changes to keep golfers on their toes. The Oaks Nine is named for the towering oaks that blanket the course. The courses are situated on over 200 acres of scenic Texas Hill Country, giving them each a beautiful landscape of rolling hills and lush meadows dotted with native oak trees and clear blue lakes. Hill Country Golf Club is also home to a driving range and putting green on addition to the three nines.

Creek Course #9 Photo submitted by GreerGolf on 06/06/2017
Good Resort Course
For a resort course it can be quit technical, you will use most of the clubs in your bag. All three nine hole courses are good and the greens are usually in good condition. There are a lot of blind holes, which can be difficult to navigate effectively the first couple times around. Fortunately, the carts have good GPS map screens with critical yards marked. Overall, it can be a little pricey but you should enjoy your time.
Oct 9
I played the Lakes and Creeks course. The lakes course is a little tight and some blind shots from tips. Creeks course is one of my favorites very good golf holes with lots of character.
Fun time
Got out early before everyone else so played really fast. Course was in good shape and greens rolled pretty fast with lots of undulations. Course friendliness was ranked low - no bag drop, no one to great me and no one offered to carry my bag even thou there were staff around.
This course is great, has different condition
Fairway condition is excellent. Green is tough. Bunker is not good.
Jose
Great staff, very professional and friendly
Great conditions, great fairways
Challengeing, the green and the set up
I will recommend to my friends
Availability
First time player at this site. Staff were most helpful. Course in great shape. Took me on as a single and zipped thru the course.
Hot course
Hot day!! Course was in very good condition. Couple of greens had bares spots, but given the heat, very good. Fairways excellent.
Hyatt hill country
Course was in excellent condition. Pace of play under 4 hours and greens rolled true. One of San Antonio best golf course to play.
TIGHT DRIVING ON LAKES COURSE
FOUND THE LAKE'S 9 HOLES TO BE A CHALLENGE FOR DRIVING THE BALL OFF THE TEE. SHOULD HAVE PUT THE DRIVER AWAY AND WENT WITH THE THREE WOOD MORE OFTEN. DROVE THRU THE FAIRWAYS ON THE DOG LEGS. NO FAULT OF THE COURSE, JUST STUPID PLAY FROM MYSELF. FAIRWAYS ON THE LAKES WERE TIGHT, BUT THE GREENS ROLLED REALLY GOOD AND VERY FAIR. THE CREEKS COURSE WAS PRETTY WIDE OPEN AND THE GREENS WERE ALSO VERY GOOD. THE COURSE WAS RAIN SOAKED THE DAY BEFORE MY SCHEDULED TIME, WHICH MADE PACE OF PLAY AROUND 5 HRS (CART PATH ONLY), THAT WAS THE ONLY DRAW BACK. REALLY A FUN COURSE AND WILL GO BACK.
Great day of golf
Played as a single on the Wednesday after Labor Day. Course not crowded and in in great condition; played in about 3 hours. Staff was very frendly. The course has a few tough holes, but overall it is great for an average golfer from the intermediate or for an advanced golfer from the tips. Lots of oak trees, but fairways wide enough to keep out of trouble.
Great facility
Course is in great shape. The staff was very friendly. Only bad thing was they are punching the greens this week. But still very playable.
Good job
Very pleased with the experience... Starting with the pro shop to the starter and the grounds crew on the course!
Great Course
Course was in great shape and price is reasonable for such a great course.
Another great round at the Hyatt
We went for the twilight rate and had a great time! Beware that summer time in San Antonio is not to taken lightly, needed loads of water and wet towels. Only issue I had was outside of the course, I got a few beers from the restaurant and my card was ran for my bill and someone elses (still fussing at them to get it reversed). Besides that faux paw I will will go back, we play here 3-4 times a year and love the courses.
Well Done
Course was very nice, good speed on greens. scenic and serene at same time.
Beautiful Par 5 holes
You need to place your shots to stay away from tree trouble and other hazards. The greens are in great shape and fast. The sand bunkers were in poor shape I guess due to the previous hard rains. Take extra golf balls since you will lose some. Overall it was very enjoyable playing the Lakes and Creeks.
Was a Good Value
Played the Oaks, then the Lakes. Course was in good condition, and it was a pretty fun course. Drinks (beer) was a bit expensive and could have been $1 less I think - very important part of playing golf in the heat!
Pace a bit slow.
A 5-some with two beginning women In group before us. This caused partner, and single we paired up with, to forgo last hole.
Loved it
A little tight, but short enough from blues to accommodate game.
Just ok for the money
I played the course for $40 and while that's a good price for the course, I would never pay the normal $100 round. Pretty basic course, greens were in rough shape and a lot of burnt areas already. Highlight was the interaction with most of the staff, (inside club house and cart guys) as the bartender didn't seem to know some of the basics about the course.
