Hill Country Golf Club - Creeks/Oaks
About
The Creeks Nine is one of three courses at the Hill Country Golf Club. Named after the creeks that meander through the layout, this course demands accuracy with water coming into play on several holes and numerous strategically placed bunkers. There are also wooded ravines and a variety of elevation changes to keep golfers on their toes. The Oaks Nine is named for the towering oaks that blanket the course. The courses are situated on over 200 acres of scenic Texas Hill Country, giving them each a beautiful landscape of rolling hills and lush meadows dotted with native oak trees and clear blue lakes. Hill Country Golf Club is also home to a driving range and putting green on addition to the three nines.

Creek Course #9 Photo submitted by GreerGolf on 06/06/2017
Great Deal!!!
I played this course for the first time and enjoyed its friendly staff, layout, and great price! I've played almost all public golf courses in San Antonio and surrounding area and I must say it is definitely of the best around.
Nice course but...
I have played the HHC courses twice now, and each time the play time was agonizing. With all the current advertisements on Golf Channel and during golf broadcasts about speeding up play, they don't seem to be getting the message. I didn't see a marshal once during either round plus slower groups do not let you play through. The course conditions are definitely about average, despite the construction on a few holes, but one other irritation is the lack of maintenance with the traps and players not raking afterwards. If you can get a cheap tee time, play it! If you cant, it's not worth the extra $$.
Very nice and challenging course
This was a very challenging course and even through it was in the winter and the day was very cold, I enjoyed the play. Accuracy is considered a must on this course and probably better for low handicappers if you play the back tees although the forward or mid-tees would be just fine for others. I would recommend this course.
First time.. Not the last
Course and equipment were in quality condition. A very clean and well maintained course.
Great Course!
I recently played the Hyatt Hill Country Resort course once again. This time I got to play to Lakes/Oaks course. I was excited as I have never played the Oaks course before. Both courses were in great shape. New sand was put into the bunkers and it was still fluffy and soft and when you hit into them you got fired egg lies but this was not a problem for me to handle. But I feel once the course gets some hard rain this will improve the playability of the bunkers. Also the greens were fast on putting but did hold when you hit shots into them. I dont mind the fast greens as they ran true with little to no bumps at all. It was an excellent day to be on the course. It was 80 degrees the day I played not bad for a late January day. The Lakes course is easier of the two courses played. I played from the blue tees on both sides. But I would recommend playing from the black tees on the Oaks course as this is the tighter of the two with its oak tree lined fairways. From the blues tees you can get into some trouble if you hit the ball too far. But it looks like from the back tees the landing areas are much better. But I feel you can still play a decent round even if you spray the ball just a little on the Lakes course. But you have to hit the ball as straight as possible on the Oaks course. But there are some birdie holes on both courses. I left some of those birdies out there but finally did make a good birdie on the ninth hole of the Oaks course. Not a bad way to finish off my round. I did shoot an 88 which could of been less if I had hit some better shots. But I still had fun and will certainly play this course again. Plus the price was right at only $35 plus tax thanks to Golf Now. I have been so impressed with this site. I had booked a 2PM tee time and when I arrived at the course I was told I could join the twosome on the tee box. I have always teed off before the tee time I have book and this is great. Not to say this will happen to everyone but I has happened to me all three times I have played this course. Also the golf shop, cart, starter and beverage cart staff is very friendly. They treat you right and make you feel very welcomed. Only downside to this round was that the Hyatt just got new carts and the GPS had not arrived for these carts yet. But that was not biggie as there is plenty of yardage markers on the course and the gentlemen I was paired up with had his own hand held GPS device. The starter told me the GPS would be installed the following week. So the GPS should be installed sometime this week. Over all I give the Hyatt a rating of A +++.
Gorgeous Golf Course
Golf course in great shape considering winter. You can see they are getting the course ready for Spring/Summer and without a doubt, it will be in tremendous condition.
challenging courses
Overall course in good shape. Some very challenging holes with placement shots.A few holes still under renovation with the addition of new bunkers. Brand new carts.
This course is in great condition
Recommend this course in great condition and staff very friendly .
Great course with Nice views
Played with two friends of mine while on vacation. Course is very well kept. Has its challenging holes but overall an enjoyable experience.
One of San Antonio's Best
My experience at Hyatt Hill Country was fantastic in every way. The staff was friendly and organized. The course was beautiful, and the conditions were great. The course also had one of the best practice facilities in the region. As an added bonus, the on-cart GPS system was one of the best I have used.
I was able to book a Golf Now hot deal and play for only $32, which was an absolute steal. I would not hesitate to pay $60+ for a chance to play this course again though.
Hill Country Golf Club.
We loved the course my only thing was that the price quoted in Golf Now stated taxes were included in the rate quoted. Were were charged taxes by the golf course when we arrived????????
This course was beautiful
Had a great time with my dad, who is from Houston. We laughed, cursed, and celebrated through the 18 holes.
Father & Son Outing
Course was great just happened to be a very windy day. My son still beat my butt!!!
One of the hill country's best
First class facility that you should play. Three nines with plenty of variety.
Nestled in the native oaks
Great courses, played two of the three different nine hole options (lakes to creeks). The course is well maintained and is always a joy to play. Friendly staff and very accomodating. Can not wait to play here again.
Fun course!
Played this course a few times. Staffs are always friendly and course is in good shape. However, I'm disappointed the green side bunkers condition. They are mostly hard packed dirt and very little "sand". Bunkers need some TLC.
I love the course layout. There are holes requires very precise shots to have a good score. Greens are well kept and rolls true. Will be back for more.
good variety of holes, views and scenery, But.....
Waited awhile before I could get a hot deal for this course. I'm glad I did and didn't pay the 85 dollar tee times that were offered. First off, had to park 4 blocks from club house since they have very little spaces dedicated to golf course. Had to watch out on first hole of Creeks course since driving range balls littered the fairway. Bunkers were filled with hard dirt, not sand. Some greens had bare spots in the 2-3ft range we had putt through. Its a nice course, but not for the money they charge. Silverhorn, Canyon Springs or Cedar Creek will give you the same features for less.
Fun course
Really enjoyed courses pace of play and friendly manner of staff. Played with a member which made round lots of fun knowing all the course tricks and traps.
Will go back !
Very nice golf course
Well maintained with beautiful scenery. Bunkers need some work but I was told they're being replaced next year. I would play it again!
