Hill Country Golf Club - Creeks/Oaks
About
The Creeks Nine is one of three courses at the Hill Country Golf Club. Named after the creeks that meander through the layout, this course demands accuracy with water coming into play on several holes and numerous strategically placed bunkers. There are also wooded ravines and a variety of elevation changes to keep golfers on their toes. The Oaks Nine is named for the towering oaks that blanket the course. The courses are situated on over 200 acres of scenic Texas Hill Country, giving them each a beautiful landscape of rolling hills and lush meadows dotted with native oak trees and clear blue lakes. Hill Country Golf Club is also home to a driving range and putting green on addition to the three nines.

Creek Course #9 Photo submitted by GreerGolf on 06/06/2017
Scenic and fairly wide-open
Course was in good shape with a nice layout. Pace was good.
Average Course
I thought that because it was a resort that the course would be in excellent condition. For the money you pay to play there it could be better. I was expecting something like the Republic golf course.
Disappointing
No area marked for bag drop so carried to carts. Starter sat and watched then pointed to which car I could use.
Course poor condition, bunkers no sand but rather dirt. We were a twosome who got stuck behind a six some. They told us cause it was slow ahead, but a full hole open ahead of them.
NICE COURSE, POORLY MANAGED
This course needs to stop booking so many people for weekends. The course stacked up so bad that my friend and I actually left after front 9. Took three hours to play 9 holes of golf. Course was good. Had a couple holes that weren't as good as the other ones but overall not bad. I should be comped my other nine, but it is what it is. Won't be playing here anytime soon. Thanks to golf now I saved some money on the rate or Hyatt would have heard an ear full. Oh and they make you play in groups of four. Can't just go out with a friend you haven't seen in forever who shoots scratch and has to get stuck with two old men playing from senior tees. Pretty bad experience overall. Probably nice during week.
THIS COURSE WILL BE EXCELLENT BY SUMMER TIME
HAD A BEAUTIFUL AFTERNOON AT THIS GREAT RESORT THE GOLF COURSE IS BEAUTIFUL AND I CAN"T WAIT TO GO BACK
AWESOME
The course was in great shape. The greens were awesome very challenging to read. Pace of play was really good. I would highly recommend anybody to play this course. Must keep the driver straight or you will be in trouble.
Hyatt Happiness!
Great course with a great deal to go with it! Kind of narrow so not really for beginners. Would recommend to anyone visiting San Antonio also!
Great Course tough greens to hit though.
I liked the friendly staff and up to date equipment.
Great Course
Hyatt has 27 holes of which are 3 different 9 hole courses (Creeks, Oaks, Lakes) I was scheduled to do Oaks to Creeks but since Creeks was a little backed up they let me switch to Lakes where it was wide open. I would definitely buy a hot deal again. Only $38 to play this course with range balls is a steal!
very nice. perfect location
Really like this place. Everything you could want or need is available.
x
Greens a little hairy, fairways beautiful. Staff friendly and attentive. Great value for the money
Hyatt Hill Country Taking a Siesta
This course was built twenty years ago, and the third nine was added in 2005.
We have played here quite a few times. It has three distinct nines; the Creeks, The Lakes and the Oaks.
We played the Lakes and the Oaks.
Both courses are dominated by gnarly Bermuda roughs which tend to over run everything.
The fairways on the Oaks are more narrow, but both nines have plenty of trees along the fairways.
Sadly, neither the greens nor the tees are being mowed. They over seeded with winter rye grass and the greens are bumpy and very thick.
Overall, this is a nice golf course with lots of nice scenery and privacy. You are mostly by yourself out here.
There are some wet areas that need work in front of some greens.
This is a fair and sporty resort style golf course with very helpful employees like Jeff the starter.
Because there are three different nines intersecting, the signs could be confusing to a new player.
They have an amazingly decorated and stocked pro shop and a great restaurant next door called Antlers.
It is a great course
I will go back becayse it is a great corse and good a great price
Lots of fun to play.
Greens are fast and undulating. Makes putting an adventure. Combination of canyon golf and hills golf. Lots of fun.
Very good variety of holes
GPS systems do not work well. Pin positions set up in corners, knolls and greens werr worn. Also being overseeded.
An excellent resort course
From the moment we arrived we received first class attention from the staff. The course is probably the best resort course we have played in the United States.
Good Shape
Only Lakes and Oaks tracks were open on the day I visited. Starter was great in explaining situation and what to expect as we were stuck behind a "tournament". My expectation was a little longer round, but I had no idea it would take 5 hours. Course was well maintained other than some really wet areas in lower areas. For the price paid, can't complain too much.
Hot Deal/Aeration
My notes were based on a steep discount and some aeration on the greens. The course is pretty friendly with a little wider than average fairways, but the greens can be tricky if you aren't careful. My favorite part of the course overall is that you tee off with many different clubs. All in all, very fun and would play again.
