About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

Used to be better
Course used to be in better shape. Greens are great a bit on the slower speed. Bunkers are hard pan. Many dry spots throughout the course.
Ball washers looks like someone sprayed dirt on them on purpose. Need to have one of the staff go around and clean them up.
Nice power carts. Extremely friendly club house.
Pleasant Surprise
On a day where I was just trying to play a new course, I found a fantastic course that was a pleasant surprise. I will have to go back via the 1hr drive.
Agonizing pace of play
We thought getting a late afternoon tee time would be an opportunity to play a fast 18. Just the opposite. We thought about quitting at the turn, but we agonized to the finish. Slowest round I personally played in two years plus. Not sure if this is the norm as we don’t play this course often. Absent the pace of play issue, it is a nice course to play.
Great layout
Loved the course design and it was in excellent condition.
Only small negative thing was the pace of play on the back 9. We ran into a threesome that was walking and they were not keeping a good pace.
Would definitely play again.
Fun course, needs maintenance
Fun course. Right amount of undulations, bunkers. Hardly any water. Grounds need maintenance…bad. Sand traps are a hard as a rock. Nice greens
Course Conditions
Unfortunately the current condition of the Course is mediocre at best. Tee Boxes are atrocious with mounding affect and unplayable pitch marks throughout. Sand Traps are blessed with NO SAND and foot marks through the remaining DIRT that makes play a double penalty. It’s pretty evident that Golf Management is dead set on making a profit by not properly maintaining Course Play conditions. So Sad.
The course is very scoreable
I really like this course. It has a lot of character and I play well on this layout. Some fairways were a little too wet. The sand traps were in very poor shape!
Wildhawk
Course is in great condition except for several tee boxes that could use improvement. “Sandtraps” didn’t really have san, but more like. Dirt. Easy to hit out of the two I found. Play was fast. Our foursome was ahead of clock by 20-30 minutes. Diffidently will return. This was my 4th time here
