About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

Wildhawk
Fast play for a midday. According to the course clock our foursome was 20 minutes ahead by 10 holes. Some of the tee boxes could use improvement. Bunkers were more like hard dirt. No real sand. Course otherwise in great shape
Perfect weather and the conditions of the course.
It’s a beautiful early summer afternoon in the low 90’s with a little breeze. Beautiful scenery and well maintained fairways and sand bunkers. Challenging greens but they were a little slower than before. Super friendly staff and friendly players helpful to enjoy the game. Not able to materialize the birdie chances but still enjoyable. Definitely one of the best courses in the Sacramento area, I would say next to the Apple Mountain golf, which is still my number one. Thanks GolfNow and the friendly and professional staff at the pro shop and the starter/marshal.
TLC, Notifications needed
I love Wildhawk. I've play it since the day it opened. The layout is challenging w/o gimmicks. Tee options make it so anyone has a chance to play well. Staff and services are great. SO ... when I played this week the greens were sanded and tees were in aweful shape - all hacked up and some tees (white) were pushed all the way fwd. This was not my fav round here, but I will be back.
Fun yet challenging course!
Hadn’t played here in a few years and was overall very impressed. I can’t wait to come back and play again soon!
Tee box/sand traps
Tees should be flat with grass instead of dirt and sand. Sand is fairly inexpensive BUY SOME and put it in your sand traps. Greens were recently punched but had been rolled and were fast but tracked true.
Course in great shape
It would be 5 stars but their tee boxes are still pretty bad. Not too many even lies. The greens were in best shape I've seen here and I've played here at least 10 times over the past few years.

Played here last April and decided it was time for another visit. Played 36 holes this time. First 18 was slow but got done in. 4 1/2 hours. Second 18 was slow on the front because of high schoolers but we breezed through the back nine. Course conditions were excellent with minor dry spots and the occasional wet area because of watering. Greens were in outstanding shape. Refreshment cart was always around even during the front nine of our second round. Water coolers were running low on water in the late afternoon. Staff was very friendly and cost was $47 for Senior citizen and $19 for replay each. Can’t beat that.
