About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

Wonderful Golf
We enjoyed the day. The course is in really good condition. The greens are very fast and roll true. The fairways are both challenging and forgiving. The pace of play was good. We stayed on track the whole round.
Windy round
The course is in Reasonable condition for this time of year. It wasn’t too wet although there were many areas that had ground under repair. It was blowing somewhere between 20 and gusts of 40 miles an hour today so there was debris everywhere as you can imagine. I would suspect that typically the course is much more pristine. The greens are in pretty darn good condition for this time of year as well. I would certainly like to play the course again when it wasn’t quite as windy and the course layout seems very nice.
Winter Golf at Wildhawk
Overall course for winter golf was average.
We've played here before during Spring & Summer,
Overall the course & layout are above average then.
Priced fairly based off surrounding area courses.
Will return & recommend this course to players that
post scores of 95 & below.
Because it does have it's challenging holes & might,
discourage higher handicap golfers from having a
fun time.
Fun Value
Course was in good shape. Greens were recent rolled and they were a good speed. Staff were friendly. Looking forward to playing it again.
Friendly staff; inconsistent course conditions
Pro shop is friendly. Course conditions are inconsistent from hole to hole. Really muddy considering the lack of rain Eve had this year. Some holes (like #11) is riddled with gopher/squirrel holes. A few tee box’s were brown. Some of it is the players. Clearly the course gets abused by “golfers” that don’t repair divots in the fairway and greens. I filled two or three divots fir every one of mine. Be better people; preserve the course. Bottomline: it’s ok for the twilight rate. Probably should come back in the spring.
Good course overall
The course plays easy in some places and quite difficult in others. Overall I think it’s great for beginners and challenging enough for more experienced players. The course doesn’t drain well so it can be quite soggy after it rains but overall the course is well maintained. The greens are a challenge, especially when the aeration still hasn’t healed after a few months. But the contours and pin placement on many holes are tough all on their own. I’m never disappointed playing here and it’s a reasonable price.

Course was pretty good going into winter, pace was moving nicely all day, greens in great shape overall, would recommend to family, friends and out of town players!
