About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

Very Poorly maintained course
Walk up to the first tee box (blues) and there is crab grass everywhere. This is true for most the tee boxes. Tee boxes aren't flat...and infact very uneven. Fairways are dry and hard with extremely dry patches of just bare soil and then walk 5 feet there are puddles in other areas. I have played this course over 200 times. The bunkers never have sand in them...only red dirt. I have brought this up to the management many many times. They tell me that the course makes money but they dont put money back into the course grounds keeping. They said that the money goes to the Sacramento Parks and Recreation which uses the money for some other city programs. Avoid this course at all times until they address this issue. At this rate they will be out of a golf course!
customer service was very poor, Two young guys in the golf shop had a rude attitude . I will not go back there play again unless they improve their customer service. They have many golf cars sitting there idle and still making us to share a golf car with Covi-19 situation, we were not very comfortable. The other two guys in front of us were given them two cars for two people. Why? Are Online reservation is a second class citizen?

Best Greens Yet
Played a fast 3 hour 18 when allowed to start early. (Thanks for the early start.) Greens were in the best shape of any courses we've played recently. Rest of the course is in good shape for this time of year and the heat we've had. Well done, groundskeepers!
Good way to start a morning
0700 start and pace was great. Happy to see the course has held up well over the summer. A fun layout that gives plenty of opportunity for low scores. Crowning on multiple tee boxes is my only critique. ProShop, starter and grill staff impressed.
Fun Day
It is really different than most courses in the Sac area.They give you challenging holes with out great length .I used more clubs in my bag than the others I play .Greens were in good shape .Front 9 was sanded but OK.I enjoyed the layout .Fun day.

Great place to play. Excellent customer service. Paul, the manager is very pleasant to talk to.
Fun round every time
Great course for a nice round of golf. It’s wide open and pretty easy from the whites. Challenging from the tips. Always in great condition.
Great course on a hot day
The greens were in great shape. Fairways were a little dried out, but I attribute that to the heat wave we are going through. I had a great time.
The best course I played in Sacramento
Wildhawk is a really great layout the bunkers for strategic you really had to think your way around the course . The Pro Shop attendant was super super friendly you don't always get at a public course I was truly surprised how friendly they were. I lost my favorite golf towel on the course and eventually it was returned to me by the Ambassador when I try to offer him $5 he simply refused to take it I even told him hey I'm going to drop it on the ground and walk away Finders Keepers , and he says "No sir I can't take the money". I don't get up the Sacramento often but I will be playing wildhawk again
