About
WildHawk Golf Club is a challenging championship layout that is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The verdant landscape is dotted with scenic water features, including a cascading waterfall. Water is naturally a prominent presence but the unique shape and positioning of the bunkers also makes the course stand out from other public tracks. The golf course boasts some of the area's best greens as well. The layout has a diverse mix of challenging holes and player friendly elements such as the wide-open fairways on the longer par 4s and par 5s, which makes the golf course accommodating for a range of skill levels. It still requires a fair amount of accuracy though since it can get tight in some spots. WildHawk Golf Club can also be more difficult depending on the wind

Tee boxes
Course was in OK condition. They had sanded the greens?!? The tee boxes were horrible
Sanded greens
Course was in great shape, but as stated the greens where sanded. They played good , but not me. My worst round in years. But not the course’s fault
Fun for all levels
I do love the layout of this course. You can score very easily from the blue tees with a lot of shorter par 5’s. I would recommend for the single digit handicap to play the tips. Tee boxes are hammered and need to be leveled and renewed. New sand would also improve the experience in the traps. I will play here many more times when I need to shoot low to help confidences. Staff is excellent.
Improvements needed
Please find a way to adequately ventilate the Men’s Restroom in the Club House. Because of the heat and Humidity it always seems rather Rank. Additionally I have found that the restroom could be better supplied with the essentials. Even at 1100 am TP and Paper Towels are empty. I know this seems rather insignificant but if you what All Five Star ratings fix it.
Good course, slow play
Round took 5h20m on a Friday. Parking lot was packed. Marshalls appeared unaware of slow pace despite multiple conversations. Maybe they’re just overbooking, but this is the third time in a row the pace has been over 4h30m. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re in a hurry.
Rain the cart girl is awesome. A hard worker and always has a smile when doing her job on the course. She is a great asset to Wildhawk. The course is in great shape also. Shout out to the workers who keep the course looking good.
GREAT PARTNER TO PLAY WITH HAD A GREAT TIME.
ONLY IMPROVEMENT NEEDED IS FIXING THE TEE BOXES. BECOMING OVERUSED AND BARE. OTHERWISE COURSE IN GREAT CONDITION. STILL A LITTLE WET AROUND THE EDGES BUT OVERALL GREAT.
Golf on Sunday April 23rd
Wildhawk was in good shape other than the Sand Traps, many of which need additional sand, as they are like concrete, but the course is fun and in good shape. However on this day everyone in the Sacramento area was playing golf and it was SLOW. We knew it would be so we had an enjoyable round even though it took over 5 hours. Wildhawk is popular as it is priced right and not overly difficult. DP
The greens had been aerated, so a little slow, but all i al , great conditions.
Beautiful fairways
Fairways are in great shape. Tee boxes for the most part where excellent. Wish people wood replace there divits, its not hard. Evan though greens where recently punched they stil were in good shape. Very enjoyable rouns. Beers a bit pricey

Course is decent/- greens are slow and rough is long
Ball machine wasn’t working for range balls
Fun Day Great Course
We picked a good course for our First day of Golf for in 2023. After an abundance of rain and wind this winter, this course is in amazing condition. The greens were very receptive and rolled true and plenty fast. There is still very wet ground everywhere but the staff has done a very good job of keeping this course playable.
Par 4 16th, lake hazard to the right. The hole is short enough for long hitters and the brave to shoot for the green, but smart players drive left or center and leave a wedge to get on. Exactly what one of our threesome did and he put his second shot in the HOLE for an Eagle!
Play It.
Always have liked this course. I have played here many times. Considering the amount of rain we hve had in this area, the course is in very fine conditition. Play It.

We teed of at 0700z. The pace of play was excellent! And the course was in pretty good shape. Especially for February.
