Waterview Golf Club

About
Rowlett’s first course has been laid out over a flat range of pasture, supplemented by 15 acres of lakes and over 1,000 new trees. Designed to be hacker friendly, the lack of mature trees provide an especially generous look and feel, tempting the mid-level handicapper to tee it up from the 7,191 yard tips and go long off the tee. Bent greens are the highlight of the round here–they roll true and provide solid opportunities to snake in a few long putts.
Getting there : Off of I-30 exit Dalrock Rd. and drive north through Hwy. 66. A half-mile past 66 veer left on Princeton, which dead-ends at Liberty Grove. Turn right into the Waterview division and take Waterview Pkwy. to the clubhouse

Great course
Enjoyed a twilight tee time. Pace was good greens were great.
Good course but awful pace of play
Played here a second time and the pace was 5+ hours. The course is pretty good, greens are in fantastic shape and the staff is awesome. But the pace of play was absolutely atrocious. There were multiple Marshall’s out as well. Many holes on the back nine has at least 3-4 groups on each hole
Excellent condition
The course was in great shape but wished their was GPS in the cart.
Condition
Course is not being keep up greens have died areas large areas not being watered huge cracks in the ground no grass in areas.
Greens Just Punched
Greens were just punched and Golf Now doesn't notify you of this. Can't really rate the course good with sandy punched greens played on. May be ok otherwise.
Greens Are TURRIBLE
The greens today were long, shaggy, and had way too much sand on them.
The fairways seemed too hard packed.
Tee boxes were not well maintained.
The Marshall was rude, but this was expected based on previous reviews. (We played under 4-hours today as a threesome).
The turn dog was a 6.9/10.
Cart girl was great.
Reviews don’t lie
Long round but expected it. Great course in good shape and for a fair price, you really can’t complain!
American Golf Strikes Again
American Golf ruined california golf for locals all across the state and it's no different here in Texas. We just had some horrific storms and they don't bother to punch the greens or perform any maintenance at all. So what do we have left? We have mud, damaged greens and for some reason just over watering like crazy right after we just had a storm.
The marshall rick really thinks he's a big shot. He will ask what if you really need to hit from the blue tee box and he will follow you around the course to make sure you are in fact eligible to hit from there. Rick is an A-hole.
Not worth the high golf fees
This course was not what the price suggests, the greens were horrible and bumpy!
The only thing that was decent was the fairways, won’t be playing here no more!
Usual Day at Waterview
Course is fairly good to good shape. Not great, but not bad either.
Pace of play was not great, but normal for Waterview. One group on green, one group waiting in fairway, and two groups waiting on tee box. Pretty much from start to finish. Main reason why the 'no' recommendation to a friend selection. But, it's close to the house and works in a pinch I suppose.
Great course for the price
Greens were rolling - pace of play was slow, but can’t get upset. The cost is so good that it encourages people to come out and play that maybe aren’t the best golfers. Overall great course - recommend for sure.
Anywhere but here!!
First of all, charging $64 is criminal for the playing experience they give you. The range was in decent shape and the fairways weren’t bad. Most of the tee boxes were moved around or had some type of construction while the greens were all dead and bumpy and inconsistent speed due to the varying levels of dryness. The weirdest part of the round however came when my buddy and I stopped at the turn for a beer and sandwich. It was a busy Tuesday so they were out of sandwiches, totally understandable. The lady offered to make more sandwiches if we were willing to wait so I said ok and ordered 4 beers total for my friend and I. She asks for my ID (I am 25 years old, 6’5 180 lb’s with a full beard) which I provided immediately, my buddy is about 6’6 so just barely taller than me, she scans the ID for almost a minute then looks at my friend and goes “well how tall are you?” And he replies “umm I’m 6’5 and some change..?” And she says “well you look taller than him” referring to me. I was in shock trying to decipher if this was a joke or she was actually questioning the validity of my government issued ID based on the height. She continues to go on about how the height looks off to her to which I eventually got fed up snd told her to forget the sandwiches and to either scan the ID like any other bar would in America to confirm validity or simply sell me the beer. For God’s sake there is such thing as pace of play. So she finally rings up the beer and we leave. Needless to say holes 10 and 11 were a blur trying to process such a strange interaction at a golf course. I work at one of the nationwide staples of hospitality and customer service and this is absolutely not how you interact with a paying customer nor should you ever make a guest feel so uncomfortable when you are working for tips.
Lastly, hole 13 the guy operating this huge lawn mower never had the courtesy to stop it or let us hit in silence then proceeded to ride our butt the entirety of the hole which is unbelievable considering it’s a 408 yard par 4. I’ve just never seen such a compound of unprofessionalism at a course and I can honestly say I don’t ever see myself returning nor would I recommend another sound minded golfer to set themselves up for such an experience.
