Waterview Golf Club

The course fairways are beginning to fill in. The greens still have issues. Seems as though the grass is still dormant with little sprags coming through causing them to be bumpy. Otherwise the course is very playable as compared to other courses in the area.

Every now and then you need a good reminder to refresh your memory. I got that reminder today. It has been raining and knew beforehand that it would be cart path only for our round. However, that was not the reason for a 3-hour front 9 and uncompleted back 9. I had forgotten how God-awful Waterview is on the weekends. 6-minute intervals between tee times, and as we were told by the starter on hole #1 there were three small tournaments ahead of us. Can we pack anymore humans on one golf course at a time? I doubt it.

Poorly run course that is in marginal condition. A reminder not to come back, at least on the weekends.

After playing this course, I forgot my Callaway range finger on the golf cart. When I called them 2 days later, they said they did not find it. When we played, no one else was on the course because it rained heavily that day and I used it at the last hole, so it was not misplaced. The people at the cart return probably took it and never returned it to the pro shop.

No marshal managing pace of play (fivesome in front of us had the entire course backed up and nobody did anything about it), greens are trash, 3 items on the lunch menu, no beverage cart, and the course just plain needs professional help. It has a ton of potential as they have a lot of land to work with but until they get capable management look elsewhere.

Even though it's winter-ish conditions everywhere in NTX, this course is in worse shape than everywhere else. All tee boxes were sandy with lumps and bumps everywhere. All fairways are bare lies. The greens were like playing plinko. The dude in the pro shop was not friendly. The bar and the cart attendant were nice. I'm probably never going back. I hope they fix it. It could be a nice course if they cared enough about it.

Saturday 2:24 tee time. Had a really slow group in front, two fathers and their children. One father seemed like it was his first time playing golf. After talking to the group in front, We called the pro shop for a Marshall to come out, but they dismissed us over the phone and did not take any action.

WE had an ice storm here in the greater Dallas area, so I booked it once after the storm, but they still had the greens covered with tarps. I wished someone had called me because it's a 30+ mile drive one way! +$ 3-4tolls one way.

WE played it 2 weeks later, and had heavy rains a few days before, so the course was still fairly wet. It made for some interesting conditions.

I have reviewed this course before, so refer to that. WE like the price, the layout, etc. . .

I do recommend this course for the reasons stated above. It's great value, fun to play when the weather cooperates.

Greens are too wet and around the edge. Good fairway conditions and tee boxes. Many Pins placement were awful.

tee time was delayed 45 min.

we paid 16.23 for extra cart because one member had flu.

I booked online and when I got to the course they would not honor the price, even though I had my confirmation email. Clubhouse attendant was very smug about it. Greens were full of divots that were not repaired.
