Executive at Seven Springs Country Club
About
Seven Springs Country Club in New Port Richey offers two golf courses, the Challenger and the Championship. The club conveniently sits just minutes from the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches and attractions of Tampa Bay. The Challenger Course is an executive-length layout that offers the same challenges as the more demanding Championship Course but on a smaller scale. There are not as many water features on the Challenger but there is a large lake and a meandering creek that comes into play on several holes. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The layout offers a gentler version of the Championship that is more manageable for beginners but it is also a great quick round for more experienced players. It is even gentle enough for juniors to get in some short game practice.

A Lot Worse Than Last Time
The course has gone downhill since the last time we played. Some of the tee boxes were a mess, Fairways were decent but the greens were awful. Most of the time you were putting on sand or dirt! Dissappointed!!
Bad Course Layout
I am not one to usually give a course a review, a negative review at that. But there were a few things at this course that might need to be looked at. First off, this was my first time playing at this course, so inexperience may be a factor. I was a solo, and was early to my tee time. When I pulled up to the first tee, there was no one playing the hole and I asked the Ranger if he wanted me to wait, and he said yes, that he was pairing me up with three others. Four players then pulled up for their tee time 10 minutes later, and I was told I would go after them.
Going from Hole 3 to Hole 4, you have to make sure you are reading the hole signs, because hole 4 is after hole 15, on the same sidewalk. We played hole 15 instead of 4 and had to drive back, causing a pile up. Also, later in the course, there is essentially a shared fairway that causes wait times for tee boxes and approach shots. The course was not in good shape, but that is to be expected when greens are aerated.
All in all, just not a good experience.
Probably will not play again.
Poor Course Conditions
Terrible green conditions and tee boxes weren’t used for some holes. First and last time I come here unfortunately.
Seven springs
Course was fun but course was in rough shape. Greens were bare in most spots
Get what you pay for
No greens and no tee boxes. Fairways ok. Practice approach shots is all its good for but you play it quickly because putting is impossible.
Don't waste your time.
Accidentally booked the executive course instead of the champion course. This course was in terrible shape. There was more dirt than green. Tee boxes were like sand. Don't bother playing this course. Wouldn't play it for free.
Horrible conditions
I played this course last Friday and the conditions were awful. Every green was not green it was grey. The fairways and tee boxes were also in horrible conditions.
Waste of money
Why would anyone return to this course? ALL of tee boxes and greens are shot! Nothing but dirt and sand. Nothing at all redeeming about this course. By far the worst course I have ever played at.
From Bad to extreme worst course ever
Apparently, Severn Springs wants to find someone stupid enough to pay money for this course as they continue to destroy it. They should be ashamed to charge a fee since they put absolutely nothing into it.
Better than not Playing
Greens and tee boxes are in pretty rough shape! The fairways aren’t the best either, but it’s an OK place to work on your short game. If you need to get in some practice this course is better than not playing at all. The best I can say about it.
They should shut down
I’ve played 30 courses, this is the worst one.
Awful greens, wouldn’t even call it grass.
Some of the tee boxes were set in the rough. Still managed to have excessive wait time for every shot.
Very Rough
I played there last few years but this is about as bad as I ever seen it. For $18 i guess it’s good. But not for anything over $20
The course is in rough shape.
Greens, tee boxes and fairways are a mess. I played yesterday and unfortunately had already booked for today. Otherwise I wouldn't have played it again.
