About
Seven Springs Country Club in New Port Richey offers two golf courses, the Challenger and the Championship. The club conveniently sits just minutes from the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches and attractions of Tampa Bay. The Challenger Course is an executive-length layout that offers the same challenges as the more demanding Championship Course but on a smaller scale. There are not as many water features on the Challenger but there is a large lake and a meandering creek that comes into play on several holes. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The layout offers a gentler version of the Championship that is more manageable for beginners but it is also a great quick round for more experienced players. It is even gentle enough for juniors to get in some short game practice.

The course is in rough shape.
Greens, tee boxes and fairways are a mess. I played yesterday and unfortunately had already booked for today. Otherwise I wouldn't have played it again.
Short course
Layout good, employees nice. NO grass on 17 greens. Not recommended
Has potential
First time playing here. Just read previous reviews and I’d have to disagree regarding the greens. I thought they were decent, good speed and rolled pretty smooth (would probably be better if everyone fixed their pitch marks). Maybe the greens looked acceptable to me because the fairways were pretty bad. Don’t like rolling my ball but when you’re in the middle of the fairway and there’s little to no grass… And $8.00 for a small bucket of range balls?! Come onnnn! That shouldn’t be a penny over $5, and that’s being generous.
Terrible greens
The greens on this course are in terrible shape. The price is very cheap so you get what you pay for
Golf
Green in terrible shape. If I wasn't playing with someone who played there before ,I would have been confused as to what flags I was supposed to be golfing g towards. (Soccer golf flags create confusion. )So for these reasons I would not reccomend the course to anyone.
Horrible greens and tee boxes
Granular discolored greens and dirt tee boxes. I know it is an inexpensive alternative but don't do it.Staff was great, nice bar with after drinks, and it is a a long executive with great layout. Too bad greens and tee boxes are so neglected.
Not up to seven springs standards
2nd time playing, last time was maybe 18 months ago.
Greens were the worst I’ve ever seen. The course layout was good, challenging for an executive but overall conditions we’re definitely below avg. no matter where I hit the ball I usually to move it because no grass or weeds or some other impediment. If championship course is $50-60 exec should be $15 because if the difference in conditions.
Staff was excellent
Staff was excellent, great value for 18 holes. Only hit one house lol.
Rain and cold all day
Was not informed there was a 10 hole group on the front nine had to go back and play the back nine.The fairways and greens were fair main complaint so many flags hard to tell which one was the hole and the course was hard to navigate
Solid Course
Played the executive course and always have a great time. Solid course at an affordable price

Good course!
The greens were in very good condition, a little faster than the last time we played, The fairways were good, some rough spots occasionally. Half of the tee boxes needed attention, just dirt in some.

Fun old Florida course
Nice older style Florida course through a local neighborhood. Nice wide tree lined fairways and even a few hills. Greens were in good enough shape but a bit bumpy. Fairways were in good shape with only a few bare spots under trees. A few spots were under repair, but the ownership seems to be keeping it up. No driving range, but they offer a hitting cage to warm up. Pace was reasonable finished in just under 4 hours. Overall a very enjoyable round and will be back.
