Greynolds Golf Course
About
Formerly the site of a rock quarry, the par-36, nine-hole Greynolds Golf Course now shares the landscape with a hardwood hammock and mangrove forest that is one of the most well protected natural areas in northern Miami. The carefully preserved surroundings support an abundance of wildlife including several species of birds and rare, colorful butterflies. The golf course is part of Greynolds Park, which offers scenic camping grounds and numerous nature trails in addition to the golf course. There are also excellent opportunities for kayaking and canoeing thanks to the Oleta River, which runs alongside the east side of the park. Opened in 1964, the golf course has a traditional layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. More advanced players can enjoy a quick round while less experienced golfers can get in some good practice.

We’re rained out….
Poor condition
Farways and greens in very poor condition. poor maintenance. usually. We had played last year and it was better.
Busy Golf course
I didn’t get to play. I arrived at 9:35 am for a 10:04 tee time and I was told that there wouldn’t be any electric golf carts available until 11:30. I didn’t want to wait for two hours for a golf cart so I left with out playing.
good Greynolds maintenance
Greens in good shape. Pretty fast , smooth and fair
Great nine holes
Greynolds is a great place to play. Now it is in excellent shape and the greens are the best I’ve seen them in a few years. The only issue I have with this course is other golfers jumping from hole to hole, but that doesn’t happen too often. The fairways are generous, bunkers are in good shape and virtually no water to worry about.
Enjoyable but had its flaws
Having just moved to the states from Scotland this is my first experience of a US course. We rented clubs which were reasonably priced. However, I was given a Childs driver instead of an adult. The course itself was nice to play in terms of style, hole layout, pin position etc. However, the condition of the course wasn't great with several unrepaired pitchmarks on the greens and lots of divots where no attempt at repairing had been made. Overall the course was playable and I did enjoy my first round in the US, it was only the condition of the course which could do with improvement.
Excellent Value or for beginners.
Very inexpensive public course. Good for those with budget or learning to play.
good practice course
greynolds give you the opportunity to work on your game without the major rush of golfers behind you rushing you on an off the hole
This is a great course for beginning to intermediate golfers. The course is most forgiving with hazards but a challenge with distance with a mix of par 4 and 5 holes. The most appealing factor for me as a senior golfer is 9 holes and a very, very reasonable cost.
