The Country Club of Orange Park provides a scenic challenge with a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and towering oak trees. There is also a bird sanctuary that runs along the entire right side of the first five holes, offering golfers a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabit the golf course including wild turkeys, deer, and osprey. The layout features tree-lined fairways and large greens. The golf course has a more traditional feel with tees and fairways that were cut close to the greens, resulting in a narrow field of play. There is water on 14 holes and bunkers strategically placed around the greens.

This course is a good layout with lots of water to make it very challenging.
This was our first time to play the course. It is very challenging. Definitely a drivers course. A few of the greens were a little rough with some bare spots and the fairways need to grow in some. We had several tight lies on some of the sparse spots on the fairway. It would help first timers to have layouts of the holes to see were the trouble lies and distances from tee to water or hazards. Playing for the first we would hit what we thought were decent shots only to find they some had rolled into the water that we didn't know was there. Liked the course. Everyone was super friendly and will certainly play it again.

The greens are in terrible condition. It looks like they have been eaten by a fungus.
Greens need help
Greens are not at there best but it is winter like it or not. Play here a lot and the greens will only get better. It's a must play if you never have.

Course in very nice condition.
Although the course was in very nice condition, there needs to be a starter to control the start times of everyone. All people were just starting when they wanted to which caused groups to bunch up.

Good condition for winter
The course lets you use almost every club in your bag.
Difficult approach shots with plenty of lateral hazards,
rewards straight hitting with just enough difficulty on greens.
Nice course, greens need some work - bumpy, some brown spots.
Staff was nice, got out on time ... ran across several groups of five (which I DO NOT like) ended up skipping holes and coming back to finish later. No ranger on the course. Decent greens, but a few were spotty.

The pace of play was slow for a weekday tee time. The fairways could use some water and there are a few greens that have dead spots. The layout of the course is nice and for the recreational golfer it is challenging as you want with ample tee boxes. Yardage markers are hard to find and there is no picture of the holes on the score card. This was the first time playing here so it was difficult to plan shots. For the money it is a good value.
Very nice older course
It's an older course with lots of water and a fair amount of sand. I love the layout, with a mix of being near nature, while also being around a nice development with beautiful homes.
It was not too busy the Monday afternoon I was there, so I rode by myself in around 3 hours.
The greens were slightly patchy, and slow. It looked to have been fertilized recently and is probably on it's way back. I would upgrade my rating from 3 star to 4 star if the greens improve.
I'd like to go back there and take my wife.

Not a bad deal, but nothing special
This course is not bad, but nothing special. I enjoyed my round, and must admit I played a few months ago, but the conditions were just in average shape. I would play the course again but def hoping for better conditions.
Good for the money.
Very fun course. The only problem( because of time of year) is that the greens are really in need of some attention. But the rest of the course is in great condition and the staff is one of the nicest groups out there. I would recommend this for anyone of any skill level.

Wet course. The greens were lacking. We had a fun time regardless. Not bad for a windy day in December.
I was hoping for so much more
The layout of the course is great but the greens were truly disappointing. Unfortunately this made me not care about the round and made the round truly forgettable.
