The Country Club of Orange Park provides a scenic challenge with a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and towering oak trees. There is also a bird sanctuary that runs along the entire right side of the first five holes, offering golfers a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabit the golf course including wild turkeys, deer, and osprey. The layout features tree-lined fairways and large greens. The golf course has a more traditional feel with tees and fairways that were cut close to the greens, resulting in a narrow field of play. There is water on 14 holes and bunkers strategically placed around the greens.

Great condition
The course was in excellent shape. I've played here before and it has not been very good. I was pleasantly surprised. I will be back very soon.
Pro Shop Staff Outstanding
Booked a tee time by using GolfNow. Very good rate for this course. When I arrived my reservation could not be found. In reviewing my reservation I mistakenly booked June 3, yesterday. I apologized and asked if I could get out. Not only did they get me out, they helped me with the rate. Above and beyond my expectations. Once near the tee box the Starter reviewed the course and it's condition with us. Very detailed and energetic in his review. We found that he was spot on! The fairways and greens were in really good shape. Several of the tee boxes needed water, but after all it was in the 90's. Think before your shots and you can score well. Many golfers slam their driver off the tee when an iron would put you in a much better position. I would recommend this course and challenge you to play target golf and score well. Fun, priced to play, good prices on food and beverage, and a friendly staff. I will be back!

Challenging layout in great condition.
The course is in excellent condition and we played in 3.5 hours despite a 30 minute weather delay.

Potential
I played this course over 12 years ago. This course has seen it's better days.
The Pro is also the Superintendent.
The greens did putt well and the rest of the course is ok.
The course has always had a great layout but like most old great courses the budget has taken it toll on this course's downfall.

What a Course
one of the best value courses I have ever played.
The layout is excellent, lots of water,, very challenging off the blue tees, but playable off the whites. The opening 4 holes are magnificent. The stroke index 1 4th presents an awesome tee shot over water with the drive and again over water with the approach. I made a complete hash of it but enjoyed every one of the 8 shots and two lost balls.
The wildlife is amazing, and the numerous bridges wind through swamps and over lakes.
The greens are a tad slow in Floridian terms, but true and fair.
the staff and members were so friendly I would happily take them home to meet mother.

Somewhat disappointed
There is a stream or river that seems to meander throughout the entire course; a lot of it seems to appear unexpectedly. I expected the course to be in a little better condition, but that's just me. In all fairness, I would probably play this course again during a different time of the year.

The course was in Great Shape. Greens had just been Aerated on Monday. Greens were somewhat fast....but staff said they were expected to be faster by next week.
We have always like Orange Park Golf & Country Club course. Staff is Courteous and Friendly !

Nice Layout, Very good conditions
This course is in very good shape, greens rolled good and were in good condition, Fairways were in good shape. Tees need a little work but otherwise very pleased. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Made a very enjoyable day. Will be returning for sure.

NIce layout, course in very good condition
First time playing this course. Was very challenging with a lot of water. Six tee boxes (one hybrid type of tee box) should give you enough choices to be able to score. Great value for the money and we will go back.

Fast Greens
Several of the hopes were challenging due to the hole placement on the undulating greens. Adding to the difficulty is the quick pace of the greens.

Nice fairways and fast greens
Loved this course! Would have been perfect except for the light rain. The course stayed relatively dry though. Greens were fast. Felt like I was putting on glass. Course is in wonderful shape. I will definitely be back!
