The Country Club of Orange Park provides a scenic challenge with a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and towering oak trees. There is also a bird sanctuary that runs along the entire right side of the first five holes, offering golfers a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabit the golf course including wild turkeys, deer, and osprey. The layout features tree-lined fairways and large greens. The golf course has a more traditional feel with tees and fairways that were cut close to the greens, resulting in a narrow field of play. There is water on 14 holes and bunkers strategically placed around the greens.

Amazing Greens
This was my second time playing OP since their Summer makeover. To be honest, the greens at this course are on par with those at St. Johns Golf. Very fast greens, superbly maintained, don't think I saw a single dead spot. The course itself is challenging as their are lots and lots of water hazards. Only downside is the course has some serious drainage issues on a few of the holes. We haven't had rain in a few days accompanied with lots of sun, but there are still very muddy and wet areas in some of the fairways. But overall, for the price you pay on a weekday, this is a major bang for the buck.
Good course
Unfortunately, we played the day after a heavy rain so every square inch of the course was soaked and the drainage isn't the best, otherwise I would give a 10/10 and my first time playing there was enjoyable. The landing zones in the fairways are very fairly open even though there is a lot of water along the course. The greens overall, imo, are perfect. Not a dead spot on any of them, healthy and quick. I am surprised they don't charge more because there are a few courses in Jax that charge more and are in terrible shape (ponte vedra). Great value overall and I will definitely be back in more ideal conditions. A+ Highly recommend.
fast greens
Played early in the morning greens where mowed and most fairways were done. The greens were firm and very fast the ball rolled true. Fairways should be wide enough but if you stray you will end up in water.
one of the best in the area
this is a great golf course
what else can i say
perfect to play golf greens super fairways fine tees good
Sloppy
Staff is very friendly, greens are amazing and lightening fast. Course itself was sloppy due to weather, drainage is an issue. Layout is great.
Orange Park
Good course and great staff. Greens are extremely fast.
Great Greens - Pins and Placement make this a tougher course than the layout itself
Played the course in March 2014 before the greens were redone and have played 3 time since they reopened. Most recently Dec 27 2014..Greens are fast with good undulations. Layout is good for average golfer and the greens keep the scores up there.
Country Club of Orange Park
You can see that course mgmt have put some $$$ into the course. New greens and approaches. One of the better courses I have played in Jacksonville area on a while.
Great golf course
The course is in great condition and the value for this course is very good.
New greens are awesome
Played this course before the greens were redone and it was worth it. Some of the greens before were in a very bad shape, now all of them are almost perfect. Fast downhill puts were super challenging, a lot of undulations that are hard to read, making every 2 putt a challenge. Played from the blue tees that make the course difficult, higher handicappers should select the white ones. Play the course, you will not regret it!
young
Condition of the Course could be better when every player respect golf etiquette***^^^
Nice upgrade
Course in great conditions. greens were sandy. Should let golfnow know when greens are being airiated or sanded.
Excellent value
Couse was in very good shape. Sand traps were very well maintained and consistent. Greens were good and should be in terrific shape by next Summer.
Get The Ball Up
The defining signature of this course is its forced carries, off the tee and to the green. Make sure you aren't topping the ball or it'll be a long day. Greens have all been redone and are very hard, so another reason to be able to sky your shots. Rough can also be very penal. Be sure you're playing from the right tees, too or you'll be hitting a lot of long irons into the greens.
Great to be back
We used to play OPCC fairly regularly, but the course conditions became terrible and they closed for repair. Now it looks great.
Great Track
Tough day on this course due to soggy conditions. Cart path only, combined with a Member-Member tourney made speed of play VERY slow.
But, I like this course -- challenging track, and greens were rolling very well (even while wet).
New greens hard and fast
Not one of my favorite layouts but the price was right and there are some very challenging holes. The course is playing long due to all the rain they have had recently, I got very little to no roll in the fairways. The rough is tough and wirier, use an extra club if you miss the fairway.
The new greens are still coming around and even though they have had their fair share of rain the greens were hard and fast. Still they did putt true for me. I will be back once the course dries out a bit more.
I'll be back in 6 months
First and foremost CCOP is a good track with brand spank'n new greens with new bunkers that are absolutely pristine. The greens will be fantastic in 6 months or so but right now I, along with the person I was paired with, found it extremely difficult to get shots from the fairway to hold the green (including just 100 yard wedge shots). The greens, 1-18 were hard, I mean extremely hard. So hard, it was difficult to see a pitch mark where your ball hit the middle of the green but subsequently rolled off the back. You would think hard greens would equate to them being fast, but no, they were hard and slow. Once their greens are punched and rolled in March or so, watch out! This will be a must play course but until then, go play Fleming!
