Palatka Golf Club

I have played here many times before. But this time the back nine was closed due to fairway replacement and golfnow never mentioned this in there booking site. The existing front nine was in poor shape at best. This course has taken a nose dive in the last 6 months. I am very dissapointed that golf now did not mention the closed nine. Also the price was not reduced by the course for the poor conditions. Hopefully things change in the future as this was and can be a very nice layout.

Like playing a cow pasture. Fairways in mediocre shape. Tee boxes in bad shape. Greens abominable. It's impossible too putt. Not worth it at any price. It'll be a long time before I'd consider going there again.

What kind of golf course does take non-resident fee?

How dare they charge $24 for this piece of junk! How dare they discribe this course on their website..... you would think you were entering paradise.

Every aspect of the course was a disaster! Green conditions (all 18 holes) were awful. Same with fairways and rough....

I hope Donald Ross was cremated.... because if not he is rolling over in his grave for what these people did to his once gorgeous course.

Fellow golfers..... DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF!!!!!

Course is in BAD shape. The greens were dirt with very little grass. Fairways look as if they haven't seen water in weeks. I have played this course many times, but this is the worst condition ever!

Nice people, beautiful day, but WOW -- those greens! Be ready to factor in not only the normal slope and undulations with your puts, but also large barren patches of sand, hardened mini mud mountains and miscellaneous other interferences that prevent the ball from rolling true -- even rendering a put airbore on one occasion. Feels like the greenskeeper has been on holiday for 8 or 10 months.

Palatka is a super deal thru Golfnow.com. Course is in fairly good condition and never overcrowded. Great staff.

Good course for beginners. Many wide open fairways.

The driving range was between holes on the course hitting into the water. athe greens were small and in need of serious maintenance. For the price on golfnow it was worth it but I would not pay full price to play.

I have played this course several times. No matter if it is a hot deal or not this course is well worth the 1 HR drive I made from Ponte Vedra. Staff is amazing, food is great, and the track was in great shape.

The course is a 40 minute ride for me. BUt it is an excellent value it is a fun course. Friendly staff and the people are nice. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice course very open fairways, with greens on the smaller side. Plays fast with a great family feel.

Older course which is well maintained. Fun to play and enjoyed fast play.

No variable in holes by the time we reach the 12 hole we were quite bored. However, this would be a good course for beginners as the fairways are wide and flat.

This is an Old Florida style course. You won't find many lost balls...if they clear the fence they are gone forever. Some very challenging holes including a Par 3 with a tree limb hanging over the fairway...it eats balls with a gusto.

Palatka was a pleasant surprise after waiting to long to book a round while in town. I would have easily paid double and felt that I still got a great value. Greens were small but very fair and the course was in great condition for a nearly 100 year old muni. Enjoyed the first round so much we went back the very next morning. Can't wait for an excuse to get back to St Augustine so I can play it again.

I played here before and this is the best I've seen this course
