About
Neighbor to the beautiful Ravine State Gardens, Palatka Golf Club offers a game that is as scenic as it is entertaining. Designed by Donald Ross in 1925, the golf course was created with all skill levels of golfers in mind. The layout is player friendly, but there are still many challenging elements to keep golfers on their toes, including Ross' signature "turtleback" greens. There are also numerous bunkers fiercely guarding the greens. The signature hole of the course is the par-3 third. This 188-yard hole is a test of accuracy, requiring a difficult tee shot to a well bunkered green. Palatka Golf Club also offers a unique aqua driving range for golfers to use.

Golfer Reviews
Very interesting course.
Very interesting course. Course layout very challenging. Condition was average. Most greens were okay, but a few weak spots in some of them. Fairways in good shape. A good value for the money.
Good course.
It is a challenging course, makes you want to keep coming back to try to better your score. Because of the close fairways, two of the times we played it someone has picked up our ball from another fairway thinking it was theirs.
The course povided a very nice golfing experience.
The course was in good shape. Fairways were maintained quite well. A couple of greens on the back 9 could use some attention. I enjoyed the par 5's and the doglegs. The 3rd tee was interesting, playing in the ravine. There was not much water to intimidate. The price made the round an abs olute bargain.
Can't beat it
Reminds me of old British courses I've played, more natural and different. You can score on Par 5's but Par 3's make up for it and the Par 4's aren't so short for a shortish course. Sand traps were fluffy and better than my home course. Greens were adequate some requiring more care. Fairways were good and not first cut so you want to keep it in fairway. Overall a great experience and value, I'll be making this a regular.
Beautiful day of Golf
Awesome as always! This Donald Ross designed course has been around since 1925. It is in the best shape I have seen. Greens were a little slow early on but as the sun got higher they sped up. Simply can not find more bang for the buck!!!!
Nice Short Track, Great Value
The course was a little off the beaten path but was worth the ride. The Donald Ross layout was interesting, while short it had some nice dog legs and elevation changes. The greens are well maintained, "pool table flat" and some are fairly large. The fairways are pretty well maintained as well in the typical landing areas. No real cart paths except near T's and Greens but the nicest part was not having to play surrounded by homes/condos. Enjoyed my day!
as of 5/5/13 course is in great shape, greens a bit sticky but true
great value, fairways plush, great condition. not to long overall but challenging par 3's....lots of fun
This course has character.
This is nice course. It's very deceptive. I love the rolling hills the course has. The greens were in pretty good shape. There were a couple with some spots but nothing glaring. The fairways were in fantastic shape. They were very lush and green. If you hit the short grass you had a great lie. Even though it was wet and rainy i still enjoyed the course and will return again.
Palatial golf club
Fairways iand greens were in great shape. Cart paths were rough to non existent . Overall a great place to play. Not overly crowded on a Saturday for a public course. Great value for the money.
Palatka Good Value Course
Enough challenge for a high handicapper, easier for a better golfer. In any case, greens were in very good shape but were quite slow for us having just been sanded. Fairways in really good condition. For $25 with cart would play this course again in a heartbeat.
Course was fun to play. Greens in good condition.
Staff was cordial. Course was not crowded. Play was not slow and course could be walked but several hills were a pleasant change. I will play again.
Been playing this course over 15yrs and its in the best shape I've ever seen it. Greens were awesome and fairways excellent. Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!
Been playing this course over 15yrs and its in the best shape I've ever seen it. Greens were awesome and fairways excellent. Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!
Fairways and greens both very slow.
Almost every fairway is uphill and, with the thick fairway grass plays much longer than the yardage. Also every green, and they are mostly small, is also elevated. Not a great course... but cheap!!!
Very old course,(since 1925), very nostalgic Donald Ross design.
Donald Ross design involves elevated tees and greens. Henceforth, course does not promote very much carry on all shots. Tough pin placement close to bunkers.
Donald Ross, He created many gems in Central Florida
Old School, Donald Ross. 6,000 yards, you think you can tear it up, think again. You have to know where to miss it. would like to play it a little more often, fun and no fluff!!!
Can you keep a secret?
This course is the best overall course listed in Golfnow we played in Florida. For 25$, it is quite a bargain. Players of all types will enjoy it, no doubt. We played on saturday afternoon, and it was not busy. A gem. Don't tell anyone, just go!
This is a great course with maintained fairways and greens.
This course has wide fairways, small difficult greens and bunkers that can add several shots to your card, but water really doesn't come into play. Very enjoyable course.
Everything was in good condition.
Staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, the course was in excellent condition from tee to green. Excellent value for the money!
