Great shape
Water is still hanging around from the 2 hurricanes in some areas, but the course is still playable. Bunkers have improved in their “fluffiness” for the most part. One green on the back 9, has a hole developing on it, but I don’t remember which one.
Still improving
The remnants of two hurricanes are slowly draining off or being removed. Greens are still great.
Opportunities abound
The course is playing pretty well. There was a lot of standing water due to two hurricanes, but it is draining off. The trees that were knocked over have been removed or trimmed. Greens are rolling true, and bunkers are improving.
Good Deal and Fun Course
First time on course but will not be last time. I had a great day and loved the course. Weather looked threatening but turned out near perfect.
BUYER BEWARE
Golf Now offered 2 HOT DEALS for this course on 10/25. the tee times were at 10;30 and 11;30. Since we were coming down from Jacksonville we selected the 11:30 slot. When we came to the course we learned that while the 10:30 tee time included the golf cart as 99% of "Hot Deals" include cart fees, the 11:30 tee time , while priced the same as the earlier Hot Deal was a walking rate and the course grabbed me for an additional $24 for use of a cart.. This was terribly unfair. So be careful when you book this course. other than that it was a fun track and in good condition despite areas of standing water as a result of hurricane Milton
Communication
Would have been nice if the would have posted that only the front 9 was being played. Nothing but 90degree rule on the fairways was posted at bag drop. No one said anything about it at check in. Only found our by workers cut down a tree at the turn on 9 and 10.
Wonderful
What a lovely course this was. The back 9 was very challenging. In great condition for the amount of rain that’s fallen. Would definitely play it again. Great value. We managed to grab a tee off time deal
Nice course
It was probably too hot to walk, but four of did anyway. The course was a little wet in areas, but no standing water. Bunkers that weren’t filled with water were playable. Greens are still in great shape. It was a challenge.
once again
Once again I tried this place. The only thing that was good were the greens. Onside of that from the greeting in the pro shop to the mud-soaked fairways and bunkers. And last. Was lied to when I found they wanted more money than what I had pre-paid, after I was sent a conformation that all was paid and 0$ was owed at time of play. These owners should move back to Vermont and get out of "OUR" Florida.
Great track and value for the money
The recent comments were favorable on the conditions of the course.. It did not disappoint. From tee to green you will not find a bad lie over the entire course for the price. Mud would end up on my ball a lot of the time but that is not the fault of the course. With the recent rains this month it is expected. Every green has plenty of undulation and were in superb shape. To me, having terrific greens makes the difference. Fairways are completely playable but not pristine like some places. I have not played the course for years and cannot remember most of the holes. I do recall the sixth green being unique and made a rather easy looking hole quite a match for your short game. I believe this course is a great value and thought the locker room renovation looked great. Keep it up.
Keeps getting better
I play here regularly and I see the constant work and improvements being done to this track. The Greens are beginning to play faster and breaks are more noticeable. I highly recommend playing this course as a great choice for a relaxed and affordable round.
Reviewed not long ago, but also wanted to mention other aspect.
This course has really turned around and is in great shape and is a great value. Also just wanted to say that the restaurant on property is amazing. I wish we lived closer so we could just stop in for lunch... We try to schedule our rounds so we can eat before or after at the restaurant...My dad is a chef by trade and we love the food at this place.
