Course condition is poor
This course is in very bad condition greens are bare fairways are weeds
the
the prior review had to be written by the owner or they were paid to write it....however wrote it has a long nose....the course is disgusting PERIOD!!
BIG Improvement
8 to 10 months ago this course was a mess ! Other than a lot of rain the 2 days before soaking the fairways it has Improved 100% greens are just about prefect! Looking forward to playing in a few weeks after the rains go way and it has a chance to dry out! Great job to the course management team for getting it back in shape!
the last
just read some of the reviews...however gives this place any higher score than a 2 must play most of thier golf in a landfill...this place is a dump..don't waste your money...i live on the course and it is TERRIBLE
Don't agree with reviews
The recent reviews really rip this place and I think it's a little undeserved, especially given what the staff has done with the greens in the last 2 years. They've brought the greens from unplayable to mostly OK. Yes. there are sanded spots and bare spots here and there, just move your ball. We did that whenever necessary and nobody had a problem.
The course itself is great, terrific layout and the restaurant area is excellent.
All this being said, however, I have one serious (to me) complaint. Their policy of combining GolfNow singles into one cart is not acceptable. Given the whole Covid thing, this is a ridiculous policy, regardless of vax status. I play single once a week and have stopped going there b/c of this. I don't mind playing with strangers but same cart? No way, I'll play somewhere else.
Great Layout
This course has a terrific layout. The course conditions could be better, but very playable. More of a weed problem than anything. At least its not bare of grass. The greens were decent as well. The price was high for the condition, especially since I was charged the non resident rate for some reason, should have looked at my receipt sooner. I would recommend if you can get a rate under $40.
Challenging course. Fairway s are in good shape. Tee boxes as well. Greens recovering from a bad spell, but getting there.
Still in terrible condition!!! (Don’t waste your money at Pine Lakes!)
I started playing this course in December 2021 and it took about five months before I saw the first person doing any kinda maintenance on the course. I decided to give this course another chance on August 10th and I am extremely happy that I did! The greens show absolutely zero improvement since the very first time I played! The greens have more sand on them than the actual bunkers, as a matter of fact, the bunkers are either hard as concrete with about a 1/4 inch of sand thrown on top or dirt that has been tilled! The greens show no sign of grass returning through the massive amount of sand covering the bare spots! If the hole is cut to the front of the green and you land on the green, hoping to roll a foot or two to the hole then you must rethink you strategy, your ball will hit that sand and stay!
Slow play: when my twosome started the course was empty in front of us for the first three holes. When we got to hole three (Par 5) there was no one on the entire hole, when we got to the #4 tee box there was a foursome in front of us, still on the box and no one had hit a shot, there was no one in front of them and from that point we waited an average of 8 minutes to hit our tee shot and an average of two minutes more to hit our approach shot EVERYTIME! The foursome finally let us play through on hole 8. Once we made the turn we immediately got behind a twosome made up of two 70+ year old men that were slower than the entire foursome we passed and apparently they must have been the owners of the course because they refused to let us pass. These guys would park their cart 30-50 yards short of the green and walk to the hole with their lead shoes on. When they finished the hole we still had to wait another 1.5 minutes, on top of the rest of the waiting, because they didn’t park next to the green to keep the pace. My twosome took a little more than four hours to play 18 holes, and there were only two groups, in front of us on the entire course!
I CANNOT STRESS THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT ENOUGH:
DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE UNLESS YOU WANT TO HATE GOLF!!!
Greens need work
Good course if only the greens were up to par. They are in rough shape.
still
still the worst course in the Palm Coast...Arnolds family is ashamed I'm sure...the owners should own Waste Management instead of a golf course,,,they do a good job of handling garbage...........DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!
I was duped.
Hadn’t played in about 15 years. Hot deal made no mention of it being cart path only. Only found out when the starter told us. Not ideal on a two surgically repaired ankles in 95° heat. Greens had a lot of patchy spots. Though wet fairways were in great shape, bunkers need more sand. The layout, like most Arnold Palmer courses was challenging and entertaining. I used every club in the bag which is something I love in a golf course. If I play it again I will call ahead first.
Nice layout, poor greens.
The greens on this course seem to be coming back somewhat compared to three months ago but they still need a lot of work and time to recover. Other than the greens, the course conditions are fine. Very few other players on the course.
Horrible greens
They should close this course and get new owners who want to put the time and money into the course
what are the owners doing ?
This course has no chance of coming back with the present ownership
this
This course should be CLOSED...The worst course in Florida,Period!!!!
