Nice day. Greens were not great. Other than that it was a fantastic day.
Greens are terrible
love the course layout. The green are so torn up, and the ones that are not are super slow
great holes, poor greens
course was excellent, greens were most definitely not excellent
Not as bad as past reviews
I will start off by saying that yes some greens are burned up in spots and bare, with that being said the pin placements took a good bit of those spots away. Fairways were cut short, first cut wasn’t over grown, interesting layout that does take some strategy to get good looks on second shots in. Overall I would hop on another hot deal when in the area, excited to see what a little more maintenance will do to this course when I come back.
It'll come back to its Glory Days
Look, I know there are horrendous reviews, particularly relating to the greens. While valid to a point, they are working to get them back and I believe they'll be back sooner than later. Phenomenal layout. I enjoyed it and will be back. I wont pay $42, but of I see a good rate, ill hop on it. Give it a chance, but just know you're not getting Augusta National greens.
Work On Your Game
It’s a good deal with TeeOff deal time. The course is far from it’s best condition but still offers a good place to work on your game from tee to green. Recent rain has helped the fairways. There’s a nice menu and drink selections at the 19th hole.
Pleasantly Surprised
After reading numerous reviews I was pleasantly surprised at the playing conditions. Not that the course is in great shape but it wasn’t as bad as expected. Tee boxes and fairways were very playable. The greens are in very tough shape. All things considered it was a good deal (TeeOff deal price) for the price. Would not feel the same way if paying the normal full rate. Good course to work on your game from tee to green. Putting is another story though... Great layout, hope they restore the greens in the near future. Cold beer and nice lunch menu available after your round. Check it out!
Nice design
Should see more people playing. Very relaxing round of golf
OMG!!
I travel here once a year. This was my go to course. I played there on Monday and it was horrible!!! I play about 250 rounds per year and I've never seen greens even close to being this bad. There hardly any grass on them and the grass that's there is just clumps so your ball bounces off them like you're playing Plinko!! I seriously wouldn't play there for free. It's that bad!! A few greens had gopher trails right through the middle of them 😱
Awful
Awful golf conditions ,donot spend a dime to play at this course …will probably close in a realnear future 👎👎👎
Not as addvetised
This course had the worst greens I have ever played. so many bare spots and full of weeds. they were not playable. Tees, fairways and bunkers were also in poor shape.
Sad but true
Sad to say, but the terrible reviews below are valid, especially the one by lenc52. Pine lakes should do what Halifax did a couple of years ago, rip out all the greens and redo them while putting in temporary greens and charging $25 / 18 holes.
I think I went around Halifax 10 or 12 times that year because at $25 we were still out playing golf and it was well worth it. The course was able to bring in a fair amount of money, I'm sure, even with the repairs going on. Now it's back to full price so I've moved on but that was a great year banging it around Halifax.
It is no doubt expensive to redo greens and who knows what pine lakes financial situation is but maybe they could do nine holes this year, nine holes next year or something. The current approach isn't working.. such a beautiful course too.
Horrible
This is a track to skip at this point. Fairways were sand and dirt, greens were sand and weeds. You can see from the layout it was a nice course at one time but that time has passed. We ended up deciding to make all greens an automatic 2 putt as there was rarely a green that could be putt without bouncing over clumps of weed. Course needs to close for a year and grow the turf and put in new greens.
Poor condition
I have played this course numerous times. It was the worst it’s ever been. The greens were all dirt. There was no grass on them. It was unplayable. The course should’ve offered a discount or explained on the app how bad the course was I spent $112 and it was horrible.
